ANTI-CORROSIVE AND SOUND DAMPENING COATINGS
A coating composition for providing anti-corrosive, wear-resistance, and sound dampening properties to plastic and metallic substrates. The composition comprises at least one functionalized resin and at least one dry lubricant in a solvent comprising a ketone, and can further comprise at least one of a cross-linking agent, a cross-linking catalyst, a co-solvent, and a colorant. Some compositions comprise multiple ketones and/or multiple dry lubricants, and can be formulated and applied to a substrate without producing hydrogen gas. Substrates coated with the coating composition can include metal components, particularly springs, washers, and other elements, within the liftgate support struts in a van, SUV, or other hatchback vehicle.
SLIDING BEARING ELEMENT
The invention relates to a sliding bearing element (1) comprising a polymer layer (4), the polymer layer (4) having solid lubricant particles and metal oxide particles and as a polymer, exclusively a polyimide polymer or a polyamide imide polymer. The metal oxide particles are selected from the group comprising bismuth vanadate, chromium-antimony-rutile and mixtures therefrom.
Color coating composition for LED lamp diffuser and color-coated glass article using the same
Disclosed herein are a color coating composition for an LED lamp diffuser and a color-coated glass article using the same. The color coating composition is capable of increasing durability and a life of an LED lamp, satisfactorily maintaining an external appearance and a lighting quality thereof for a long time, and realizing various colors, by manufacturing a glass-made diffuser as a means for diffusing light of the LED lamp in a manner of coating the diffuser on various sheets of transparent or translucent glass such as tubes and bulbs so that the diffuser is not deformed and discolored due to light and heat, and has high strength and translucency.
(BI)METAL SULFIDE POLYMER COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND ITS USE AS CATALYST FOR HYDROGEN PRODUCTION
A composite material made of an amorphous (bi)metal sulfide nanoparticles directly linked, through coordinate covalent bonds, to a sulfur-containing polymer and a method of preparation of the composite material. The composite material can also be used as a catalyst for hydrogen production. Finally, a proton-exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser and a photoelectrochemical cell, can both including the composite material.
Sliding member and bearing
A sliding member includes a metallic substrate, a porous layer formed on a surface of the metallic substrate, and a sliding layer that covers the porous layer. The porous layer is made of a metal itself or an alloy composition. The sliding layer is made of a lead-free resin composition. The resin composition consists of a pitch-based carbon fiber and a fluororesin, and assuming weight of the resin composition as 100, more than 10 weight % and 35 weight % or less of the pitch-based carbon fiber is contained.
SEALING MATERIAL FOR THREADED CONNECTIONS
A flexible sealing material for threaded connections made from, in particular, a strip or threadlike PTFE-mono or multi-filament. The aim of the invention is to provide advantageous sealing conditions in which the filament is made from an undrawn PTFE which is strip or threadlike and which is modified with high pressure additives.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR COATING ENGINE PISTON AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME
Provided are a resin composition for coating an engine piston and a method of fabricating the same. The resin composition contains carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as a reinforcement and is capable of providing a coated layer on at least a part of the engine piston, and the method includes adjusting a parameter expressed as a product of a weight ratio of CNTs in the resin composition and an average aspect ratio of CNTs, to control a coefficient of friction of the coated layer and viscosity of the resin composition.
SLIDING MEMBER
Disclosed herein is a sliding member that has a coating layer serving as a sliding surface thereof so that even when foreign matter enters between the coating layer and a partner member, smoothness between them is maintained to prevent the occurrence of seizing. When the coating layer has an elastic recovery ratio of less than 60%, foreign matter that has entered between the coating layer and the sliding surface of a partner member is efficiently embedded in the coating layer. When the coating layer is formed of a resin composition, the resin composition contains a binder resin, a solid lubricant, and metal particles having a Young's modulus of 10 GPa or more but 100 GPa or less.
ENDOSCOPIC COATING COMPOSITION, ENDOSCOPIC LUBRICATING MEMBER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING ENDOSCOPIC LUBRICATING MEMBER, ENDOSCOPIC FLEXIBLE TUBE, AND ENDOSCOPE
An endoscopic coating composition including a solid lubricant, a fluorine-containing surfactant, a thermosetting resin, and a solvent, a lubricating member provided by a coating treatment using the coating composition and being suitable as an endoscopic member, a method for producing the lubricating member, and an endoscopic flexible tube and an endoscope including the lubricating member.
Graphene composites
The present invention relates to novel nanocomposite materials, methods of making nanocomposites and uses of nanocomposite materials. In particular, the invention relates to composite materials which contain two-dimensional materials (e.g. graphene) in multi-layer form i.e. in a form which has a number of atomic layers. The properties of a composite material containing two-dimensional material is in multi-layer from are shown to be superior to those which contain the two-dimensional material in monolayer form.
