RESIN COMPOSITION, RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE, AND METHOD OF PREPARING RESIN COMPOSITION
A resin composition includes a cellulose ester resin having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 75,000; sulfuric acid; and at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Group 1 elements and Group 2 elements, wherein a ratio of the sum of the content [M1] of the Group 1 element and the content [M2] of the Group 2 element to the total amount of all the elements according to fluorescent X-ray spectroscopy is 0.052% by weight, and a molar ratio of the content [M1] of the Group 1 element, the content [M2] of the Group 2 element, and the content [S] of sulfur atoms (S) according to fluorescent X-ray spectroscopy satisfies a relationship of Expression 1: ([M1]/2)+[M2]≧1.5×[S].
WATER-SOLUBLE FILM, PACKAGING BAG, CONTENT RELEASE BODY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING WATER-SOLUBLE FILM
To provide a water-soluble film having excellent solubility, a packaging bag using the water-soluble film, a content release body using the water-soluble film, and a method for producing a water-soluble film. It is a water-soluble film prepared by film-forming a raw material containing a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin and a bisulfite. A bisulfite is added to the raw material containing the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin. Owing to this, the decrease in solubility of the water-soluble film is suppressed even though the raw material is maintained in a heating state for a predetermined time. This effect is the effect characteristic in a bisulfite, and is the effect that is not obtained in the case where a sulfite is used.
Thermoplastic resin powder and method for producing same
The objective of the present invention is to provide a thermoplastic resin powder that suppresses a decrease in fluidity of a composition during melt molding and that has a suppressed alteration of the resin resulting from retention. The thermoplastic resin powder is obtained by coagulating a polymer from a latex produced by means of emulsion polymerization of a monomer, the content of metal-corroding free acids in the thermoplastic resin powder is no greater than 500 ppm, and the thermoplastic resin powder satisfies a predetermined formula (1).
FLAME-RETARDANT COMPOSITION FOR TEXTILE SUBSTRATE
A flame-retardant composition endowed with intumescent properties which consists of an acrylic resin, a dehydrating compound, a blowing agent and, optionally, a fluorocarbon-based polymer.
Non-foam polyolefin compositions for wire and cable coating
A melt blended composition comprising, in weight percent (wt %) based upon the weight of the composition: (A) 55 to 94.99 wt % of a thermoplastic polymer, (B) 5 to 44.99 wt % of a moisture curable polymer, and (C) 0.01 to 5 wt % of a moisture condensation catalyst exhibits enhanced rheological and mechanical properties as compared to a composition alike in all aspects save for the presence of a moisture curable polymer.
LIQUID MOISTURE CURABLE POLYURETHANE WITH IMPROVED ADHESION TO ALUMINUM
Disclosed is a one component, liquid, moisture curable polyurethane adhesive composition comprising the reaction products of a mixture including at least one polyol with an excess of one or more polyisocyanates and an acid component. The adhesive composition has enhanced bond strength to metals such as aluminum compared to currently available adhesives. The composition finds special use in panel lamination applications.
STABLE POLYCARBONATE COMPOSITION
A composition includes a polycarbonate resin, a heat stabilizer, and an acid stabilizer. An article formed from the composition, when tested using a 2.5 mm color plaque, includes a level of free —OH groups that is less than a level of free —OH groups of a reference article injection molded from a substantially similar reference composition consisting essentially of the polycarbonate resin without the heat stabilizer and the acid stabilizer. Methods for forming the molded article in accordance with the above are also described.
ANTIMICROBIAL COATINGS
The present disclosure describes a coating composition comprising a film forming component, an effective amount of a copper containing glass particle and an effective amount of a color shift mitigating agent. Substrates coated therewith are also described.
METHOD FOR RECYCLING BATTERY ELECTRODES
Provided is a method for recycling a battery electrode by immersing the electrode into a delamination solution and subsequently precipitating a polymeric binder with the addition of a precipitation agent; wherein the electrode comprises a current collector and an electrode layer material coated on one side or both sides of the current collector; wherein the electrode layer material comprises a polymeric binder; and wherein the polymeric binder comprises a copolymer comprising a structural unit derived from an acid group-containing monomer and a structural unit derived from a hydrogen bond-forming group-containing monomer (ii). The method disclosed herein circumvents complex separation process, corrosion of current collector and contamination of polymeric binder, enables excellent materials recovery and allows the recycling of battery electrode to be achieved in a highly efficient manner.
POLYSACCHARIDE-ELASTOMER MASTERBATCH COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed herein are polysaccharide-elastomer masterbatch compositions and processes for preparing the masterbatch compositions. One method comprises a step of a) mixing i) an aqueous polysaccharide dispersion, or ii) a basic aqueous polysaccharide solution, with a rubber latex solution containing a rubber component to form a mixture. The method further comprises the steps of: b) coagulating the mixture obtained in step a) to produce a coagulated mass; and c) drying the coagulated mass obtained in step b). The masterbatch compositions are useful in preparing rubber-containing articles.
