FORMALDEHYDE-FREE WOOD BINDER
20190119500 · 2019-04-25 ·

The formaldehyde-free binder for materials containing cellulose contains a hydroxy aldehyde resin polycondensed with an ammonium salt, the resin being obtained, in especially preferred embodiments, from glycerin, in situ, with the aid of hydrogen peroxide. A protein component consisting of animal blood is added. The binder is urea-free and can be used as a one-component or two-component binder. It binds materials such as wood, paper and other natural fibres to form high-quality composite material products.

COMPOSITION FOR FORMING ORGANIC FILM, SUBSTRATE FOR MANUFACTURING SEMICONDUCTOR APPARATUS, METHOD FOR FORMING ORGANIC FILM, PATTERNING PROCESS, AND POLYMER

The invention provides a composition for forming an organic film, which generates no by-product even under such a film formation condition in an inert gas to prevent substrate corrosion, which is capable of forming an organic film not only excellent in properties of filling and planarizing a pattern formed on a substrate but also favorable for dry etching resistance during substrate processing, and further which causes no fluctuation in film thickness of the film due to thermal decomposition even when a CVD hard mask is formed on the organic film. The composition for forming an organic film includes (A) a polymer having a repeating unit shown by the following general formula (1) and (B) an organic solvent.

STABILISED FORMAZIN COMPOSITION, METHOD OF PREPARATION AND DILUENT FOR FORMAZIN COMPOSITION
20190016890 · 2019-01-17 ·

A stabilised aqueous formazin composition comprises 100 parts by weight water; up to 0.03 parts by weight formazin polymer; 0.4 to 5 parts by weight hexamethylenetetramine; and a buffer composition, wherein the buffer composition is adjusted to maintain a pH of the formazin solution in a range between 8.4 and 10. The stabilised formazin composition has a turbidity of 400 NTU or less. A diluent for preparing the stabilised formazin composition from a formazin stock composition is provided, wherein the diluent comprises hexamethylenetetramine in a concentration of between 4 and 50 g/l and a buffer composition adjusted to a pH of the diluent in a range of from 8.4 to 10.

Highly branched polymer and dispersant for carbon nanotubes

A highly branched polymer comprising repeating units which each have an acid group such as sulfo group, said repeating units being represented by formula [1] or the like, and a dispersant for carbon nanotubes (CNTs) which comprises the highly branched polymer can disperse CNTs in a medium such as an organic solvent to the individual sizes and can yield thin films having improved conductivity. ##STR00001##
In formula [1], any one of A.sup.1 to A.sup.5 is a sulfo group, and the others are each a hydrogen atom.

CURABLE FIBERGLASS BINDER

A curable formaldehyde-free binding composition for use with fiberglass is provided. Such curable composition comprises an addition product of an amine and a reactant to form an amino-amide intermediate. To the amino-amide is added an aldehyde or ketone to form the curable binder composition. The composition when applied to fiberglass is cured to form a water-insoluble binder which exhibits good adhesion to glass. In a preferred embodiment the composition when applied to fiberglass provides a sufficient blackness required in facer products.
