Described herein are securing devices configured to securing hold of one object to another to mitigate the effect random forces such as adverse weather conditions have on the objects and prevent their disconnection. In some embodiments the securing devices are specifically configured to connect an umbrella to a table such that the umbrella will not be removed from the table by strong winds.
