A polymeric composition includes a silane functionalized polyolefin; a brominated flame retardant having a Temperature of 5% Mass Loss from 350° C. to 500° C. and from 2 wt % to 50 wt % Retained Mass at 650° C., wherein the 5% Mass Loss and Retained Mass at 650° C. are measured according to Thermogravimetric Analysis; and antimony trioxide, wherein the polymeric composition has an antimony (Sb) to bromine (Br) molar ratio (Sb:Br molar ratio) of greater than 0.0 to 0.35. A coated conductor may be formed using the polymeric composition.
HEAT AGING-RESISTANT AND FLEXIBLE POLYOLEFIN FORMULATION
A polyolefin formulation comprising constituents (A) to (E) in the following amounts: from 15.0 to 55.0 weight percent (wt %) of (A) a polypropylene homopolymer; from 77.9 to 30.0 wt % of (B) a poly(ethylene-co-1-alkene) copolymer; from 3.0 to 6.5 wt % of (C) an ethylene/propylene diblock copolymer; from 4.0 to 8.0 wt % of (D) a saturated-and-aromatic (C.sub.14-C.sub.60)hydrocarbon; and from 0.1 to 1.5 wt % of (E) an antioxidant; wherein the wt % of (B) divided by the wt % (A) is a mass ratio of from 5.0:1.0 to 0.50:1.0; and wherein the amounts of constituents (A), (B), and (C) total from 88.0 to 95.9 wt % of the polyolefin formulation; and wherein the amounts of constituents (A) to (E) total from 92.1 to 100.0 wt % of the polyolefin formulation.

The invention relates to a flame-retardant cable having improved reaction to fire performances, in particular a reduced or null dripping under fire. The cable has a transmissive core and an outermost layer made from a flame-retardant polymer composition comprising: a) 100 phr of polyvinylchloride (PVC) as base polymer; b) 65-90 phr of a metal hydroxide; c) 2-9 phr of antimony trioxide; d) 1-3 phr of an optionally surface-modified sepiolite, and e) 3-10 phr of a Ca/Zn stabilizer.
Photo-crosslinked rubber composition, and rubber product using the same
The present invention discloses a photo-crosslinked rubber composition and application thereof. The rubber composition comprises a rubber matrix and an initiator. Based on 100 parts by weight of the rubber matrix, the rubber matrix comprises a branched polyethylene with a content represented as A, in which 0<A≤100, and an ethylene-propylene rubber with a content represented as B, in which 0≤B<100; and the initiator accounts for 0.1-10 parts, and the initiator includes at least one of a cationic photoinitiator and a free radical photoinitiator. In the rubber composition, the ethylene-propylene rubber is partially or completely replaced by the branched polyethylene. The rubber composition can be used for rubber product crosslinked by ultraviolet light, including wire, cable, film, glove, condom, and medical catheter, which achieves excellent elasticity, electrical insulation property, aging resistance and ozone resistance, and also has good mechanical strength.
