Polyarylene sulfide resin composition, manufacturing method of resin composition and molded product of resin composition
A reactive functional group-containing polyarylene sulfide resin composition having a narrow polydispersity and a low gas generation amount is manufactured by mixing a polyarylene sulfide resin (a) and a polyarylene sulfide resin (b), wherein the polyarylene sulfide (a) has a weight reduction ratio ΔWr of not higher than 0.18% under heating and an increase rate of melt viscosity of less than 1.05 times by addition of a reactive compound (c) having a reactive group relative to melt viscosity prior to addition of the reactive compound (c), and the polyarylene sulfide (b) has the weight reduction ratio ΔWr of not higher than 0.18% under heating and the increase rate of melt viscosity of not less than 1.05 times by addition of the reactive compound (c) having the reactive group relative to melt viscosity prior to addition of the reactive compound (c).
SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL HOSE
Hoses include an inner tube, a reinforcement layer disposed outwardly from the inner tube, and a cover layer disposed outwardly from the reinforcement layer, where the cover layer and/or the inner tube includes a cured composition having a sustainable content and formed from a mixture including EPDM/EPR sustainable polymer and a sulfur or peroxide based curing system. In some cases, the EPDM/EPR sustainable polymer has ethylene monomer derived from one or more renewable sources, such as, ethylene monomer derived from sugar cane. The mixture may further include one or more of recovered carbon black and sustainable oils from renewable sources. The hose embodiments may also include the reinforcement layer formed of fibers from sustainable material. The hose may contain the sustainable content in an amount of up to 75% by weight based upon total hose weight, or even greater than 25% by weight based upon total hose weight.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND INSULATED ELECTRICAL WIRE USING THE SAME
A resin composition contains a vinyl chloride resin and a dinonyl phthalate. When a serape abrasion test specified in JASO D618 is conducted on an insulated. electrical wire including a conductor having a cross-sectional area of 0.3 mm.sup.2 covered with the resin composition in a thickness of 0.30 mm, the number of reciprocations is 100 or more. When the insulated electrical wire is wound around a mandrel having the same diameter as that of the insulated electrical wire in an environment of −65° C., the conductor is not exposed. When the insulated electrical wire having been heated at 85° C. for 3000 hours is wound around a mandrel having a diameter 1.5 times as large as that of the insulated electrical wire in an environment of 23 ±5° C., the conductor is not exposed.

POLYPROPYLENE RESIN COMPOSITION AND CABLE CLADDED WITH THE SAME
The present invention relates to a polypropylene resin composition and a cable cladded with the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a polypropylene resin composition, including 25 to 35% by weight of a polypropylene polymer, 15 to 25% by weight of a styrene block copolymer, 15 to 25% by weight of a poly(arylene ether) resin, 26 to 35% by weight of a phosphorus flame retardant, and 0 to 10% by weight of a processing additive.
In accordance with the present invention, a polypropylene resin composition including a small amount of flame retardant but exhibiting excellent flame resistance, insulation performance, processability, and property balance, and a cable cladded with the same are provided.
POLYMER COMPOSITION FOR CABLE APPLICATIONS WITH ADVANTAGEOUS ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES
The invention relates to a polymer composition comprising polyolefin (a), which is other than low density polyethylene (LDPE), and polyolefin (b), which is an LDPE polymer and obtainable by a high pressure process which process comprises the steps: (i) compressing one or more monomer(s) under pressure in a compressor, using a compressor lubricant for lubrication, (ii) polymerising a monomer optionally together with one or more comonomer(s) in a polymerisation zone, (iii) separating the obtained polyolefin (b) from the unreacted products and recovering the separated polyolefin in a recovery zone, wherein in step (i) the compressor lubricant comprises a non-mineral oil; a power cable, e.g. of a direct current (DC) power cable, use of a polymer composition and a process for producing a DC power cable.
ENERGY CABLE HAVING A COLD-STRIPPABLE SEMICONDUCTIVE LAYER
Energy cable comprising, from the interior to the exterior, an electrical conductor, an inner semiconductive layer, an electrically insulating layer made from a thermoplastic material in admixture with a dielectric fluid, and an outer semiconductive layer, wherein the outer semiconductive layer comprises: (i) from 55 wt % to 90 wt % of a copolymer of ethylene with at least one ester comonomer having an ethylenic unsaturation; (ii) from 10 wt % to 45 wt % of a propylene copolymer with at least one olefin comonomer selected from ethylene and an α-olefin other than propylene, said copolymer having a melting point of from 145° C. to 170° C. and a melting enthalpy of from 40 J/g to 80 J/g; (iii) at least one conductive filler; (iv) at least one dielectric fluid; the amounts of (i) and (ii) being expressed with respect to the total weight of the polymeric components of the layer. The outer semiconductive layer is cold-strippable, having an adhesion with the underlying thermoplastic insulating layer which can be tuned so as to obtain a suitable balance between strippability at a temperature ranging from about 0° C. to about 40° C., without applying heat, and stable adhesion with the insulating layer during the cable lifespan.
Ethylene-Based Polymer Composition Containing a Phosphine Oxide
The present disclosure provides a composition. The composition includes (i) an ethylene-based polymer; (ii) an organic peroxide, (iii) a phosphine oxide, and (iv) a protic acid-source compound (“PASC”) selected from a protic acid, a protic acid-generator compound (“PAGC”), and combinations thereof. The present disclosure also provides a coated conductor. The coated conductor includes a conductor and a coating on the conductor, the coating containing a composition including (i) an ethylene-based polymer; (ii) an organic peroxide, (iii) a phosphine oxide, and (iv) a protic acid-source compound (“PASC”) selected from a protic acid, a protic acid-generator compound (“PAGC”), and combinations thereof.
