Biomimetic composite material and preparation method thereof

The present invention provides a biomimetic composite material, a nacreous layer-mimetic material, a biomimetic nacre material and preparation methods thereof. The biomimetic composite material comprises multiple composite film formed from biomass fibers and an inorganic nanomaterial, wherein an organic polymer material is arranged between the multiple composite film layers or in the composite base body. The invention combines a high-mechanical-performance shellfish structure with a wood fiberboard to overcome the original defects of the fiberboard, improve the fiberboard performances and endow it with new special performances, so that the prepared material has dual functions of the fiberboard and the nanomaterial at the same time.

Disclosed are processes for making polymeric composite materials and composite materials made from those processes the process comprising: providing a mixture, comprising: a liquid, a polymer precursor, and a dispersed-phase precursor; and subjecting the mixture to reaction conditions sufficient: to effect polymerization of the polymer precursor to produce a polymer and a reaction product; and to remove substantially all the liquid and reaction product from the mixture; wherein said reaction conditions comprise: pressure between about 10 millitorr and about 300 torr; and temperature: greater than or equal to the highest boiling point of the liquid and reaction product; less than the decomposition temperature of the polymer; and less than the decomposition temperature of the dispersed-phase precursor.

The invention relates to a cellulose-reinforced polypropylene resin composite material, a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The cellulose-reinforced polypropylene resin composite material comprises, relative to the total weight of the composite material: 65 wt % to 85 wt % of polypropylene resin; 10 wt % to 20 wt % of a cellulose filler; and 1 wt % to 10 wt % of dyed rayon, wherein the color of the dyed rayon is different from that of the polypropylene resin. The cellulose-reinforced polypropylene resin composite material of the invention is environmentally friendly and simple to process, and has a simple molding process. The article prepared therefrom has excellent physical and chemical properties, uniform matte appearance and two-color effect.

In the composition, an amount of the cellulose fiber is 6 to 95 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin, an amount of the acid-modified elastomer is 0.5 to 1.2 times by mass the amount of the cellulose fiber; and, an amount of the high-density polyethylene is 15 to 55 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin.
