ASPHALTITE-BASED ADDUCTS AND POLYMERS, METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME, AND PRODUCTS USING THE SAME
Described herein are asphaltite-based adducts and polymers and methods of making the same. Asphaltite may be modified with a reagent such as polyphosphoric acid. The reagent may modify the asphaltite or portions or moieties thereof to possess a positive charge. The reagent may also activate the asphaltite or portions thereof to enable epoxy and/or urethane polymerization reactions within the asphaltite or portions thereof, and/or to enable cross-linking of the asphaltite-based polymers or adducts. Products incorporating asphaltite-based polymers and adducts are also described.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONSTRUCTION PARTS FROM RECYCLED RESIDUAL BITUMINOUS MATERIAL AND RECYCLED POLYETHYLENE
The present invention provides method for manufacturing construction parts from recycled residual bitumen material and recycled polyethylene. The cleaned and shredded residual bituminous material, which is bitumen-containing roofing material, is mixed with shredded recycled polyethylene in a heated mixer. Stabilizers and fillers are added to the mixture. Construction parts are made from the resulting mixture by pressing or molding.
MIXTURES AND METHODS OF PRODUCING PAVING PRODUCTS USING SAME
A mixture formed from desired proportions of recycled asphalt shingle and recycled asphalt pavement is disclosed. The methods of molding the mixture into paving blocks, which exhibit properties of high compressive strength and low water absorption, are described. The paving blocks may be used to construct roads, parking lots, driveways, etc.
MODIFIED NONVOLATILE COLD ASPHALT BINDER, RECYCLED NONVOLATILE COLD ASPHALT MIXTURE CONTAINING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING POTHOLES AND CRACKS USING THE SAME
Provided are a non-volatile room-temperature modified asphalt binder, a non-volatile room-temperature recycled asphalt mixture containing the same, and a method for repairing potholes and cracks using the same. The non-volatile room temperature recycled asphalt mixture according to an example embodiment has improved fluidity, which prevents the occurrence of cracks in existing asphalt, and has the advantages of improved delamination and thermal stability.
