A reclaimed rubber-containing rubber composition comprising a reclaimed rubber, wherein the reclaimed rubber allows a vulcanized rubber of a specific rubber composition for evaluation described below to have a rubber elastic modulus of 2.0 MPa or more as measured with an atomic force microscope: rubber composition for evaluation; a rubber composition containing 20 parts by mass of the reclaimed rubber per 100 parts by mass of isoprene rubber and not containing carbon black. The rubber composition for evaluation preferably contains 1.5 parts by mass of sulfur per 100 parts by mass of isoprene rubber. The reclaimed rubber-containing rubber composition preferably contains 1 to 10 parts by mass of the reclaimed rubber when a total amount of a rubber component is taken as 100 parts by mass.

The present disclosure is directed to a rubber composition and methods for preparing and using the same. In one aspect, the rubber composition comprises a polymeric component and a curing package comprising sulfur and optionally a curing accelerator; wherein the polymeric component comprises or consists of 100 parts of an uncured rubber component comprising at least one uncured rubber, at least 5 parts per hundred rubber (phr) ground cured rubber, and at least 1 phr of a macrocyclic polymer additive comprising a macrocyclic polymer. In a further aspect, the rubber composition can be processed using existing equipment. In a still further aspect, the rubber composition is resistant to scorching and is thus compatible with extended periods of storage prior to molding and vulcanization.

The invention relates to a composition comprising, relative to the total weight of the composition: from 20% to 90%, preferably from 40% to 70%, by weight of at least one thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), preferably an elastomeric thermoplastic copolymer, and from 10% to 80%, preferably from 30% to 60%, by weight of at least one crosslinked rubber powder, the crosslinked rubber powder having a specific surface area of between 0.08 m.sup.2/g and 100 m.sup.2/g, preferably between 0.1 and 80 m.sup.2/g, more preferentially between 0.1 and 50 m.sup.2/g, from 0 to 5%, preferably from 0.1% to 4% and notably from 1% to 2% of additives; from 0 to 40%, preferably from 5% to 20% and notably from 10% to 15% of compatibilizers.
