BITUMINOUS COMPOSITION SOLID AT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
A bituminous composition includes at least one bitumen base, at least one first chemical additive chosen from compounds of general formula Ar1-R.sub.1-Ar.sub.2 (I), and at least one second chemical additive chosen from a second chemical additive chosen from the reaction products of at least one C.sub.3-C.sub.12 polyol and of at least one C.sub.2-C.sub.12 aldehyde. This composition can be used for different industrial applications and as road binder, notably for the preparation of bituminous mixes.
WARM MIX ASPHALT BINDER COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING LUBRICATING ADDITIVES
The present invention provides a functionally dry warm mix asphalt binder composition modified with lubricating agents or additives that can be mixed with aggregate and compacted at temperatures substantially below asphalt binder compositions that do not contain the disclosed lubricating additives.
A METHOD FOR REDUCING HYDROGEN SULFIDE EMISSIONS DURING PRODUCTION OF ASPHALT COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a method for reducing the emission of hydrogen sulfide during the production of an asphalt composition.
ASPHALT MODIFIER
The present invention provides an asphalt modifier composed of a crystalline polyester that has a structural unit derived from an alcohol component containing a linear aliphatic alcohol and a structural unit derived from a carboxylic acid component, the crystalline polyester having a melting point of 65° C. or higher and 160° C. or lower.
Polymerized oils and methods of manufacturing the same
Described herein is a polymerized biorenewable, petroleum based, previously modified, or functionalized oil, comprising a polymeric distribution having about 2 to about 80 wt % oligomer content, a polydispersity index ranging from about 1.0 to about 5.0, and sulfur content ranging from 0.001 wt % to about 8 wt %. Methods of manufacturing the polymerized oil as well as its incorporation into asphalt paving, roofing, and coating applications are also described.
GROUND TIRE RUBBER DENSITY MODIFICATION USING ELASTOMERIC POLYMERS
The present invention relates to an asphalt product that comprises an asphalt component and a plurality of pellets comprising a mixture of a ground tire rubber and an elastomeric polymer, where the density difference between the asphalt component and the plurality of pellets is less than 10%. The present invention further relates to a pellet comprising a ground tire rubber (“GTR”) and an elastomeric polymer mixed with the GTR, where the GTR has a density of less than 1.12 g/cm.sup.3. Also disclosed are methods of producing improved asphalt and paving a surface.
Novel Asphalt Binder Additive Compositions and Methods of Use
The present application discloses compositions and methods for improving or enhancing the paving or re-paving of asphalt to road surfaces comprising the addition of the composition to the asphalt.
ROAD MAKING MATERIAL COMPRISING PVC, A METHOD OF PRODUCING SAID ROAD MAKING MATERIAL AND A ROAD MADE THEREFROM
The present invention provides a method for producing a road making material and a road making material, the road making material comprising more than 10% polyvinylchloride (PVC) by weight and the polyvinylchloride having a glass transition temperature of no more than 180° C.
Bitumen solid at ambient temperature
A bitumen granules including a core and a coating layer, in which the core includes at least one bitumen base, and the coating layer includes at least: one oil selected from a hydrocarbon oil of petroleum or synthetic origin; and at least one organogelator compound selected from among compounds of general formula (I), (II) or (V). The invention also relates to a method for producing bitumen granules, as well as to the use thereof as an asphalt binder, in particular for producing mixes. The invention further relates to a method for producing mixes from bitumen granules and also to a method for transporting and/or storing and/or handling bitumen granules.
MODIFIED ASPHALT BINDER OR MIXTURE, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
A modified asphalt binder according to the present application includes natural asphalt and petroleum asphalt with a weight ratio of (30-70):(70-30), wherein the ash content in the natural asphalt is up to 60% based on the natural asphalt, and the volume percentage of a trichloroethylene-insoluble-substances with particle size of more than 6 microns in the asphalt binder is less than 10%.
