Methods and systems for producing ethanol based warm foam mix asphalt
Methods and systems for producing warm foam mix asphalt are disclosed. In some embodiments, the methods include the following: injecting an ethanol additive into asphalt binder having a temperature below the auto ignition point of ethanol to form a foamed asphalt stream; adding the foamed asphalt stream to a mixing zone; adding at least one of aggregate and reclaimed asphalt pavement to the mixing zone; adding a foaming agent to the mixing chamber; heating at least one of the mixing zone and the at least one of aggregate and reclaimed asphalt pavement; mixing the foamed asphalt stream and the at least one of aggregate and reclaimed asphalt pavement to form a warm foam mix asphalt; collecting emissions from the mixing zone, the emissions including ethanol vapors; and recycling the emissions to the mixing zone.
Asphalt binder additive compositions and methods of use
The present application discloses an asphalt binder additive composition comprising a carrier matrix and an agent selected from the group consisting of a curing agent and a masked curing agent. Also described are methods for improving or enhancing the paving or re-paving of asphalt mixture to road surfaces comprising combining the disclosed asphalt binder additive composition with an asphalt binder.
PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF ASPHALT MIX COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to process for the preparation of an asphalt mix composition, said process comprising: (1) heating an asphalt composition to a temperature in the range of from 110 to 190 C. to obtain a first input stream; (2) providing one or more thermosetting reactive compounds to obtain a second input stream; and (3) homogenizing the streams of (1) and (2) in at least a first tank fitted with a rotor stator.
ASPHALT MIXTURE
The present invention relates to an asphalt mixture that contains a polyester resin (A), a compound (B), an asphalt, and an aggregate. The aggregate contains an asphalt recycled aggregate. The compound (B) is a compound having 8 or more carbon atoms and having a hydroxy group or an amino group.
Asphalt composition
An asphalt composition containing asphalt and an asphalt modifier is provided. The asphalt modifier contains a polyesteramide, which contains an alcohol component-derived structural unit, a carboxylic acid component-derived structural unit, and a polyamide component-derived structural unit.
Asphalt mixture composition comprising digestate additive
The present invention relates to asphalt mixture compositions, suitable for building roads, pavements and paved areas, roofing, vehicle parking areas, house-drives, footways, recreation areas such as tennis courts or playgrounds, agricultural uses such as farm roads or animal cubicles, airfields, runways and access roads, hard standings, storage areas, hydraulic applications such as dam construction, coastal protection and other. The present invention also concerns a method of providing such compositions and various uses thereof. In particular, this invention concerns the replacement of, at least a part of, a binder or a binder composition comprised by said asphalt mixture composition, said binder or binder composition preferably being bitumen or polymer modified bitumen, with digestate additive and one or more further component(s), such as aggregate(s), additive(s) and/or filler(s).
