Potentiating agents for protecting plants from fungal infections
Disclosed is a method for preventing, controlling or treating a fungal infection on a plant. The method includes applying to such plant organ a non-fungicidal amount or a potentiating amount of a composition including a potentiating agent of a plant defense molecule, in association with a phytopharmaceutical vehicle.
Aqueous Hop Extracts and Their Use as Antimicrobial Agents
Described herein is the preparation of an aqueous hop extract and a boiling water hop extract prepared from dried hop cones that were ground prior to extraction. As discussed below, extracts were prepared from a number of different hop varieties and were tested against a number of clinically relevant bacterial strains. As discussed herein, surprisingly, the boiling water extract showed greater antibacterial activity than the aqueous extract.

fragrant Plant Treatment Compositions
This invention relates to aqueous plant treatment compositions that improve the environmental experience of the consumer and industrial grower while contributing to the health of plants. Compositions of the invention include mixtures of naturally sourced fragrances, plant sourced micronutrients, naturally derived oils; surfactants; emulsifying agents, and odor sequestering agents. Compositions are combined as solutions or suspensions that may be disposed onto soil; plant foliage, or onto dried cellulosic particles to reduce or eliminate the malodors of plant treatment or nourishment, such as from organic fertilizers or from pesticides, while imparting a pleasant post treatment fragrance.

Attraction systems for pests and use thereof
The present application is directed to a system and device for attraction of pests. This system comprises CO.sub.2-releasing microorganisms, and also nutrients specific to these microorganisms, and this system, or the device, comprises one or more biodegradable biopolymers and allows CO.sub.2, and optionally other attractants, to be released over a period of more than 20 days. Furthermore, the present application provides for the use of such a system or such a device for the attraction of pests, more particularly of maize or potato pests, such as larvae of the Western corn rootworm or wire worm. The present application is also directed, lastly, to methods for attracting pests, more particularly pests of maize or potatoes, such as the larvae of the Western corn rootworm, or for wire worms, with the systems or devices of the invention being positioned in the immediate vicinity of the plants, but preferably not directly on the plants.
