POROUS CARBON HOLLOW SPHERES AND METHODS FOR THEIR PREPARATION AND USE
Methods for preparing porous carbon hollow spheres are disclosed. The method includes contacting one or more polymer hollow spheres with a SiO.sub.2 precursor to form one or more SiO.sub.2-containing polymer hollow spheres; carbonizing the one or more SiO.sub.2-containing polymer hollow spheres to form one or more SiO.sub.2-containing carbon hollow spheres; and removing SiO.sub.2 from the one or more SiO.sub.2-containing carbon hollow spheres to form one or more porous carbon hollow spheres. The prepared porous carbon hollow spheres may be filled with liquid metal salts and treated at elevated temperatures to form filled porous carbon spheres. Methods of filling the porous carbon hollow spheres and compositions that include the filled porous carbon spheres are also disclosed.
Treated Fillers, Compositions Containing Same, and Articles Prepared Therefrom
The present invention includes a process for producing treated filler that includes (a) treating a slurry that includes untreated filler, where the untreated filler has not been previously dried, with a treating composition that includes a treating agent, thereby forming a treated filler slurry, and (b) drying the treated filler slurry to produce treated filler. The treating agent can include a polymer having (i) at least one first group that interacts with the untreated filler and (ii) at least one second group that interacts with a rubber matrix into which the treated filler is incorporated. The present invention also is directed to treated filler prepared by the process, as well as rubber compounding compositions and tires including the treated filler.

Rubber tyre compound production method
A method of producing rubber compounds, in which the polymer base is composed partly of a first polymer material having a glass transition temperature of over 50 C., and partly of a second polymer material having a glass transition temperature of below 50 C. and silica as a filler. The method includes a preliminary first polymer material treating step, in which the first polymer material, a silica having a surface area of 80 to 135 m.sup.2/g, a silane bonding agent, and at least one nucleophile agent are mixed together; a preliminary second polymer material treating step, in which the second polymer material, a silica having a surface area of 150 to 220 m.sup.2/g, a silane bonding agent, and at least one nucleophile agent are mixed together; a mixing step, in which the compounds resulting from the preliminary treating steps are mixed together; and a final step, in which stearic acid and a curing system are added and mixed with the compound being produced.
Puncture resistant mute explosion-proof cushion for tyre and wheel thereof
A puncture resistant mute explosion-proof cushion for a tyre and a wheel thereof are provided. The explosion-proof cushion is annular, received in the tyre and made of composite nano vinyl acetate copolymer. The explosion-proof cushion includes an inner ring and an outer ring wrapped on the inner ring; when the explosion-proof cushion is installed in the tyre, the outer ring is attached to a top surface and a side surface of an inner wall of the tyre, and a height from the inner ring to the outer ring along a radial direction of the explosion-proof cushion is less than a height of the side surface of the inner wall of the tyre. The explosion-proof cushion of the present disclosure can improve comfort during ordinary driving of the tyre, and simultaneously can protect an integral structure of the wheel when the tyre runs under a condition of a tyre burst.
