A thermoplastic composition including a resin phase and 10% to 55%, especially 25% to 45% of glass fibers by weight of the composition is disclosed. The resin phase includes a polysiloxane block copolymer including polydimethylsiloxane blocks and polycarbonate blocks derived from bisphenol A. The resin phase further includes a polycarbonate and has between 2.0 wt % and 10 wt % by weight of siloxane. The thermoplastic composition has (i) a notched Izod impact strength of at least 150 Joules per meter measured at 23 C. according to ASTM D256, (ii) a tensile strength greater than 95 MPa as determined by ASTM D638, (iii) a tensile modulus greater than 10,900 MPa as determined by ASTM D638 and (iv) an unnotched Izod impact strength greater than 775 Joules per meter measured at 23 C. according to ASTM D256.

The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of polymer rubber composites, and specifically relates to a rubber sealing gasket with excellent compression performance and low-temperature performance, and a preparation method and use thereof. The rubber sealing gasket is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by mass: a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR): 100 parts; a processing aid: 12.3 parts to 13.7 parts; a reinforcing filler: 45 parts to 65 parts; a vulcanizing agent: 4.8 parts to 5.2 parts; and a co-crosslinking agent: 4.8 parts to 5.2 parts. The rubber sealing gasket prepared by the present disclosure has excellent compression performance and low-temperature performance, meets the performance requirements of rubber sealing gaskets for automobile air-conditioning systems, and can be used in sealing components of automobile air-conditioning systems.

Recycled polypropylene compositions and vehicular components

An exterior trim component for a vehicle is provided that includes: 39% to 45% recycled polypropylene copolymer; 27% to 43% recycled polypropylene homopolymer; 0.5% to 2.5% coupling agent; 0.01% to 0.5% flow enhancing agent; 0.5% to 1.5% coconut shell powder; 5% to 10% synthetic filler; and 3% to 17% carbon fiber (by weight). Further, the component is characterized by a flexural modulus of at least 1750 MPa. In certain aspects, the component is further characterized by a coefficient of linear thermal expansion between about 410.sup.5 in/in* C. and about 0.110.sup.5 in/in* C., as measured under the ISO 11359-2 protocol.

The hose composition additionally has a density from about 0.88 g/cm.sup.3 to about 1.05 g/cm.sup.3. The hose may be used for transferring coolant liquid in a motor of a vehicle and includes a first outer layer of a first silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer; a second inner layer of a second silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomer; and a textile reinforcement layer embedded between the first and second layers of the silane-crosslinked polyolefin elastomers.

The accelerator includes a semi-ultra accelerator in an amount of 0.3 to 1 phr based on the amount of the natural rubber, a delayed accelerator in an amount of 1 to 2 phr based on the amount of the natural rubber, and an ultra accelerator in an amount of 0.3 to 1 phr based on the amount of the natural rubber.

It discloses a lignin enhanced wood-plastic composite, belonging to the field of polymer based composites. The wood-plastic composite is composed of one or more of plant fiber, lignin, a recycled thermoplastic plastic, mineral powder and a processing aid, and is processed by a screw granulating extrusion process. Compared with the prior art, the mechanical properties, heat stability and aging resistance of a wood-plastic material are improved by adding lignin into the wood-plastic material according to the present invention.
