Leuco triphenylmethane colorants as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
This application describes laundry care compositions that contain leuco colorants and their use in the laundering of textile articles. These types of colorants are provided in a stable, substantially colorless state and then may be transformed to an intense colored state upon exposure to certain physical or chemical changes such as, for example, exposure to oxygen, ion addition, exposure to light, and the like. The laundry care compositions containing the leuco colorants are designed to enhance the apparent or visually perceived whiteness of, or to impart a desired hue to, textile articles washed or otherwise treated with the laundry care composition.

Methods of using leuco colorants as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A method for treating textile articles including the steps of: (a) providing a laundry care composition comprising a leuco composition; (b) adding the laundry care composition to a liquid medium; (c) placing the textile articles in contact with the liquid medium; (d) depositing at least some portion of the leuco composition onto the textile articles; (e) optionally, rinsing the textile; and (f) drying the textile articles, wherein the leuco composition comprises a leuco colorant with a Photosensitivity Index of greater than or equal to 10.
Activatable two-component photosensitizers
Provided herein is a two-component photosensitizer, which demonstrated robust and selective killing effects for transfected HEK cells and affibody targeted A431 cancer cells when exposed to near infrared light excitation. Free MG2I is a pure and stable fluorogen; it is easy to synthesize and modify, and has no toxicity to cells. Unlike conventional photosensitizers, the dye and FAP itself has no photosensitizing effect until they are bound. Also unlike other activation methods, the activation step is achieved by adding the fluorogen, not the presence of the targeted molecule, requiring an active activation instead of a passive activation. This method offers the ability to locally switch-on and selective generation of singlet oxygen at the target site and can be used for a wide variety of molecular targets.

Leuco polymers as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A leuco polymer comprising a polyethylenimine and at least one leuco moiety covalently bound to the polyethylenimine, wherein the polyethylenimine comprises three or more amine nitrogen atoms and 1 mol. % or more of amine hydrogen atoms in the polyethylenimine are replaced with a moiety selected from the group consisting of 2-hydroxypropyl, 1-hydroxypropane-2-yl, and polyalkoxy groups. Methods of making the leuco polymer, laundry care compositions comprising the leuco polymer and methods of treating textiles with such laundry care compositions.
Leuco colorants as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A laundry care composition including: (a) at least one laundry care ingredient and (b) a leuco composition. The laundry care composition has a HA of at least 10 and produces a relative hue angle on fabric outside the range of 210 to 345. Methods of treating textiles with such laundry care compositions.
