A thermal transfer recording sheet including a substrate and a yellow coloring material layer, a magenta coloring material layer, and a cyan coloring material layer frame-sequentially formed on the substrate, wherein at least one of the yellow coloring material layer, the magenta coloring material layer, and the cyan coloring material layer contains a compound with a specified structure.
Near-infrared cut filter
There is provided a near-infrared cut filter which has a visible light transmitting property and a near-infrared shielding property both at high levels by that its transmission spectrum has a steep inclination in the vicinity of the boundary between the visible light and the near-infrared, and which can also be sufficiently reduced in size and thickness. The near-infrared cut filter has a near-infrared absorbing layer which contains a near-infrared absorbing dye containing at least one dye in which a condensed ring structure containing at least a benzene ring and a ring having nitrogen atom is bonded to both sides of a squarylium skeleton and which have a carboxylic acid amide structure at a second position of the benzene ring (where the carboxylic acid has a substituent having 5 to 25 having one or more branches), and a transparent resin with a refractive index of 1.45 or more.

The present invention relates to 1,6,7,12-tetra-(2-isopropylphenoxy)-substituted perylene tetracarboxylic acid diimides of the formula (I) wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently of each other are selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1-C.sub.24-alkyl, C.sub.1-C.sub.24-haloalkyl, C.sub.3-C.sub.24-cycloalkyl, C.sub.6-C.sub.24-aryl and C.sub.6-C.sub.24-arl-C.sub.1-C.sub.10-alkylene, where the rings of cydoalkyi, aryl, and aryl-alkylene in the three last-mentioned radicals are unsubstituted or substituted as defined in the claims and in the description. Moreover, the present invention relates to the use of said perylene compounds, in particular to the use of said perylene compound(s) in color converters, for data transmission and in security inks for security printing. The present invention also relates to the use of said color converters, to their use in lighting devices, to lighting devices comprising at least one LED and at least said color converter and to a device producing electric power upon illumination comprising a photovoltaic cell and said color converter.

The pigment dispersion liquid includes a near infrared absorbing organic pigment having an maximum absorption wavelength in a wavelength range of 600 to 1,200 nm; two or more kinds of pigment derivatives having different structures; and a solvent.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a pigment dispersion liquid with which an optical filter layer having the functions of both a color filter and a near-infrared cut filter can be formed by performing a development step once, and with which a thin filter achieved by using a single-layer configuration instead of a conventional two-layer configuration can be fabricated; and a colored resin composition containing the pigment dispersion liquid. The present invention provides a pigment dispersion liquid containing one or more organic color pigments selected from the group consisting of pigment red, pigment green, pigment blue, pigment yellow, and pigment violet, an infrared absorbing dye having a maximum absorption wavelength in a wavelength range of 750-2000 nm, and an oil-soluble organic solvent or an aqueous medium, and a colored resin composition containing the dispersion liquid.

Provided are a polarizing plate having a polarizing plate protective film having a thickness of 20 m or more disposed on both sides or either side of a polarizer through an adhesive layer, in which at least one of the polarizer, the polarizing plate protective film, or the adhesive layer contains one or more dyes having a main absorption wavelength range of 480 to 510 nm or 580 to 610 nm and a liquid crystal display device having this polarizing plate disposed downstream in a light emitting direction of light that is emitted from a backlight unit.
OPTICAL FILTER
To provide an optical filter having shielding effects against near ultraviolet rays and near infrared rays. An optical filter comprising a transparent resin body having a single layer or multilayer structure, and containing a near ultraviolet absorbing dye (U) which is a compound represented by the following formula (U) and which has an absorption maximum at a wavelength of from 370 to 425 nm and has a molar absorptivity at the maximum absorption wavelength of at least 50,000 [L/(mol.Math.cm)], and a near infrared absorbing dye (A) which has an absorption maximum at a wavelength of from 600 to 800 nm:

In the formula (U), Y is an oxygen atom, a methylene group or a dimethylene group, R.sup.1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent, or the like, R.sup.2 to R.sup.5 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or the like, and X is a bivalent group represented by any one of the formulae (X1) to (X5) or the like.
THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING SHEET
An object of the present invention is to provide a thermal transfer recording sheet that provides an image that is excellent in light fastness and has a satisfactory imbalance. The present invention relates to a thermal transfer recording sheet including a substrate and dye layers (a yellow dye layer, a magenta dye layer, and a cyan dye layer), in which one or more kinds of the dye layers each contain one or more kinds of specific compounds. The present invention also relates to a thermal transfer recording sheet including a substrate, dye layers, and a protective layer for protecting the surface of an image, in which the protective layer contains one or more kinds of specific compounds.
Optical filter and imaging device
An optical filter includes an absorption layer containing a near-infrared absorbing dye with an absorption characteristic in dichloromethane satisfying (i-1) to (i-3). (i-1) In an absorption spectrum of a wavelength of 400 to 800 nm, there is a maximum absorption wavelength .sub.max in 670 to 730 nm. (i-2) Between a maximum absorption coefficient .sub.A of light with a wavelength of 430 to 550 nm and a maximum absorption coefficient .sub.B of light with a wavelength of 670 to 730 nm, the following relational expression: .sub.B/.sub.A65 is established. (i-3) In a spectral transmittance curve, the difference between a wavelength .sub.80 with which the transmittance becomes 80% on a shorter wavelength side than the maximum absorption wavelength with the transmittance at the maximum absorption wavelength .sub.max set to 10% and the maximum absorption wavelength .sub.max is 65 nm or less.
PHOTOCHROMIC LENS AND POLYMERIZABLE COMPOSITION
Provided is a photochromic lens in which a transmittance at 23 C. after irradiation using a xenon lamp at an illuminance of 50,000 lux for 15 minutes satisfies the following conditions. (1) A transmittance at 550 nm is 25% or less. (2) A transmittance a at 550 nm is larger than a minimum transmittance b between 575 nm and 600 nm, and a difference between the transmittance a and the transmittance b is 5% or more. (3) There are one or more points of inflection in a transmittance curve from 550 nm to 600 nm.
