COMPOSITIONS FOR FOOD COLORING AND ANTIOXIDANT SUPPLEMENTATION DERIVED FROM SORGHUM
The present disclosure concerns compositions derived from extracts of a proprietary variety of Sorghum that provide excellent natural coloring antioxidant and functional ingredient properties. The compositions can be used in applications for coloration of a product, such as a food, a consumable, a garment, a fabric, a polymer, a beverage, a dietary supplement, or more. Due to the benign properties, the composition can be included in products where a red dye or red coloring is required, either alone or with other coloring agents to form a different color, hue, or shade.
Laundry Detergent Composition Comprising A Particle Having Hueing Agent and Clay
The present invention relates to a laundry detergent composition comprising a particle comprising hueing agent and clay. The particle can be incorporated into laundry detergent products, such as a laundry detergent powder. The particle exhibits an excellent storage stability profile with very little bleeding of the hueing dye from the particle, exhibits excellent fabric deposition of the hueing dye during a laundering process without causing any spot staining of the fabric, and does not impact the visual appearance of a laundry detergent powder when incorporated therein.
Highly heat-resistant phthalocyanine
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a high heat-resistant phthalocyanine. The phthalocyanine is separated by mixing a phthalocyanine separation solvent and a phthalocyanine solution wherein a phthalocyanine starting material is dissolved in a solvent. The phthalocyanine is wherein having high heat resistance, the decomposition temperature of the separated phthalocyanine being at least 10 C. higher than the decomposition temperature of the phthalocyanine starting material. Also, the phthalocyanine solution may be the result of dissolving at least two types of phthalocyanine starting material in the solvent, the separated phthalocyanine being wherein containing a solid solvent of the at least two types of phthalocyanine starting material and by the decomposition temperature of the separated phthalocyanine being at least 10 C. higher than the decomposition temperature of a mixture of at least two types of phthalocyanine separated by mixing the phthalocyanine separation solvent and each of at least two types of phthalocyanine solution resulting from dissolving each of the at least two types of phthalocyanine starting material in a solvent.
SOLID COLORANT FOR TINTING PAINT
A solid colorant including a. 30-97 wt % of a pigment, b. less than 5 wt % of a solvent c. 3-40 wt % surfactants and wherein: the ratio S/A [Std dev of the particle size distribution/average particle size] of the solid colorant is <25%, preferably <22% and more preferably <20%, wherein wt % is relative to the total weight of the solid colorant, and wherein the particle size distribution is determined with light scattering with fully automated image analysis according to ISO 13322-1 Static image analysis First edition 2004-12-01 by the use of the OCCHIO ZEPHYR ESR analyzer. A process for making the solid colorant, and the use of the solid colorant for tinting base paints by volumetric dosing of the solid colorant to the base paint.
ANTHOCYANIDIN COMPLEX
The invention relates to a complex of an anthocyanidin and a methylated -cyclodextrin which can be formulated as an aqueous solution and as a solid, and to a process for the preparation of such a complex. Complexes according to the invention are storage-stable and can be readily formulated in aqueous solution.

A laundry detergent composition having a particle, wherein the particle has: (a) hueing agent, wherein the hueing agent has the following structure: ##STR00001## wherein: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of: H; alkyl; alkoxy; alkyleneoxy; alkyl capped alkyleneoxy; urea; and amido; R.sub.3 is a substituted aryl group; X is a substituted group comprising sulfonamide moiety and optionally an alkyl and/or aryl moiety, and wherein the substituent group comprises at least one alkyleneoxy chain that comprises an average molar distribution of at least four alkyleneoxy moieties; (b) clay; and (c) another detergent ingredient.
