ULTRA BRIGHT DIMERIC OR POLYMERIC DYES WITH SPACING LINKER GROUPS
Compounds useful as fluorescent or colored dyes are disclosed. The compounds have the following structure (I):
##STR00001##
or a stereoisomer, tautomer or salt thereof, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, L.sup.1, L.sup.2, L.sup.3, L.sup.4, M, m and n are as defined herein. Methods associated with preparation and use of such compounds are also provided.
Novel Whitening Agents for Cellulosic Substrates
The present application relates to novel whitening agents for cellulosic substrates. The whitening agents are comprised of at least two constituents: at least one chromophore constituent and at least one polymeric constituent. Suitable chromophore components generally fluoresce blue, red, violet, or purple color when exposed to light, or they may absorb light to reflect these same shades. The whitening agents are further characterized by the polymeric component comprising at least two repeating glycerol units. This disclosure also relates to laundry care compositions including but not limited to liquid and/or powder laundry detergent formulations and rinse added fabric softening (RAFS) compositions that comprise such whitening agents.
Nested supramolecular capsules
A nested capsule having a first capsule held within a second capsule. Each of the first and second capsules has a shell that is a supramolecular cross-linked network, such as a cucurbituril supramolecular cross-linked network. Each capsule shell is obtained or is obtainable from the complexation of a composition including a host, such as cucurbituril, and one or more building blocks having suitable guest functionality for the host, thereby to form a supramolecular cross-linked network. The nested capsules are suitable for delivering and selectively releasing an encapsulant at a location.
SPACING LINKER GROUP DESIGN FOR BRIGHTNESS ENHANCEMENT IN DIMERIC OR POLYMERIC DYES
Compounds useful as fluorescent or colored dyes are disclosed. The compounds have the following structure (A):

POLYMERIC DYES BASED ON POLY(AMIDOAMINES)
Colorant of formula (I):
##STR00001## wherein A signifies a monovalent organic residue comprising a chromophore group; B signifies a bivalent organic residue selected from the class consisting of aromatic, heteroaromatic, cycloaliphatic and aliphatic groups containing from 2 to 10 carbon atoms, optionally substituted; and C signifies the residue of compound comprising at least one amido group, one primary amino group, and one secondary amino group, wherein C is linked to B via a nitrogen atom of an amino group, wherein said compound is a poly(amidoamine).
LEUCO POLYMERS AS BLUING AGENTS IN LAUNDRY CARE COMPOSITIONS
A leuco polymer comprising a polymeric carbohydrate and a leuco moiety. The polymeric carbohydrate and the leuco moiety are covalently bound. Methods of making the leuco polymer, laundry care compositions comprising the leuco polymer and methods of treating textiles with such laundry care compositions.
Method for calibrating fluorescent plate readers
The present invention relates to a fluorescent polymer cast on the surface of wells of a plate and a plate comprising the fluorescent polymer. The plate is used in a method for calibrating read-out values of plate readers. The method for calibrating the plate readers can effectively reduce the deviation of read-out values among different plate readers.
Water-Soluble Polymeric Dyes
Water soluble polymeric dyes and polymeric tandem dyes are provided. The polymeric dyes include a water solvated light harvesting multichromophore having a conjugated segment of aryl or heteroaryl co-monomers including branched non-ionic water soluble groups (WSG) comprising two or more water soluble polymers. In some cases, the branched non-ionic water soluble groups (WSG) of the present disclosure are capable of imparting solubility in water in excess of 50 mg/mL to the multichromophore. The polymeric tandem dyes further include a signaling chromophore covalently linked to the multichromophore in energy-receiving proximity therewith. Also provided are aggregation-resistant labelled specific binding members that include the subject water soluble polymeric dyes. Methods of evaluating a sample for the presence of a target analyte and methods of labelling a target molecule in which the subject polymeric dyes find use are also provided. Systems and kits for practicing the subject methods are also provided.
