The present invention provides: a photochromic curable composition which contains (A) a (meth)acrylate composition that contains from 24 to 100% by mass of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate which has three or more (meth)acryloyl groups in each molecule and (B) a photochromic compound that is obtained by bonding at least one specific naphthopyran to a long-chain group having a number average molecular weight of from 300 to 10,000; and a photochromic optical article which is obtained by polymerizing this photochromic curable composition.

Embodiments of the multi-chromophore dyes include two or more dyes each comprising a water solubilizing group, two or more polymeric spacer domains and a linking moiety. Such multi-chromophore dyes can have advantageously high brightness by including multiple dyes while also reducing the rate of self-quenching. Also provided are methods of using such dyes, as well as kits that includes such dyes.

Stabilized compositions comprising leuco compounds

A composition comprising: (a) a leuco composition; and (b) a stabilizing amount of an antioxidant composition. The antioxidant composition comprises at least one sterically hindered phenol and at least one substituted diarylamine, and the mole ratio of the hindered phenol to the substituted diarylamine is greater than 1:1. In another embodiment, a composition comprises (a) a leuco composition and (b) an antioxidant composition; and optionally (c) a solvent composition. The combined mass of the leuco compounds and antioxidants present in the composition is 10% or more of the total mass of the composition, and (b) the molar ratio of antioxidants present in the composition to leuco compounds present in the composition is greater than 1:1.

The system is adapted to use infusion liquid to be injected into the patient's body as hydraulic fluid.
