Portable tabletop lectern suitable for mass-manufacture
A lightweight portable lectern consisting of four pieces designed to be assembled together without the use of tools provides a lecture or presentation aid suitable for traveling, but also provides a design suitable for mass-manufacturing processes such as injection molding. The four pieces consist of two side membersa left side member and a right side memberalong with a top member and a front member. The top member has two openings on the bottom surfaceone near the left edge, the other near the right edge. Each of the side members has a protrusion from the upper edge, designed to fit into the appropriate opening on the bottom surface of the top member. The front member has protrusions from the rear surface which are designed to fit into openings at the front edge of the two side members.
JOINT ASSEMBLY
In an aspect there is provided a joint assembly 16 for panel board materials, comprising: a first member 14 comprising a tongue 22 extending from a surface 26 of the first member 14, the tongue 22 comprising a first groove 24 in a side 28 of the tongue 22; wherein at least a portion of the side 28 of the tongue 22 including the first groove 24 extends generally perpendicular to the surface 26 of the first member 14; and a second member 12 comprising: a second groove 32 in a surface 36 of the second member 12, the second groove 32 being arranged to receive the tongue 22; and a lip 34 extending into the second groove 32; wherein, in an assembled position, the tongue 22 is arranged to slot into the second groove 32 and the lip 34 is arranged to slot into the first groove 24 thereby to join the first and second members 14, 12.
RETAINING SYSTEM FOR JOINTS
A retaining system for joints without utilising welds, screws or any other additional element or accessory, consisting in the making of a closing or locking mechanism, by means of a tab-slot configuration, using only the structure proper of the sections which are the object of the jointing, according to a first section (A) on which the cutting or machining that gives rise to the tabs and an embedment gap is made and a second section (B) that houses the slots and has to fit in the said embedment gap of section (A). Finally, the system is supplemented with the addition of tools that make it possible to release the system, thus making the joint demountable.
CABINET ASSEMBLY
A kit is provided that, when assembled, forms a unit of furniture. The kit includes side panels that can reversibly slide into an opening formed in the sides of the front and side panels. The kit may include multiple locking pins and cleats to restrict movement of the top and side panels. The kit may include positioning wedges and/or locking wedges to restrict relative movement of the panels and thus improve the stability of the unit. Also provided are methods of assembling the unit of furniture.
Desk with support structures configured to attach modular attachments
A desk with support structures configured to attach modular attachments is disclosed. Exemplary implementations may include a work surface, a left-side support structure, a right-side support structure, a core body, a working body that provides the work surface, one or more modular attachments, one or more mounting brackets, and/or other components. The one or more modular attachments can be mechanically coupled to and supported by either support structure.
FURNITURE SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
A leg includes an outer surface, an inner surface, a first wall, a second wall, a first seam, and a second seam. The inner surface is opposite the outer surface. The first wall extends from the outer surface to the inner surface. The second wall is coupled to the first wall and extends from the outer surface to the inner surface. The first seam is formed in the inner surface. The second seam is spaced apart from the first seam and formed in the inner surface. The second seam forms a first non-parallel angle with the first seam and a second non-parallel angle with the first wall.
CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM AND METHOD AND RELATED ARTICLES
A furniture unit includes at least one substrate having an upper surface, a lower surface, a proximal peripheral surface, a distal peripheral surface, a first seam, and a second seam. The lower surface is opposite the upper surface. The proximal peripheral surface extends from the upper surface to the lower surface. The distal peripheral surface is opposite the proximal peripheral surface and extends from the upper surface to the lower surface. The second seam is spaced apart from the first seam. The first and second seams extend in a direction parallel to the proximal peripheral surface. The proximal peripheral surface engages the lower surface such that the substrate defines a first hollow support.
SPORTS EQUIPMENT DRYING RACK
This disclosure relates to a drying rack for wet equipment constructed to support wet equipment having absorbent and non-absorbent sides. The drying rack supports the equipment such that absorbent sides of the wet equipment are generally oriented in a single windward direction relative to an external airflow source.
Plate stand
A dish assembly includes a pair of folding panels and a support platform. A bottom of the pair of folding panels are retained in the support platform. Each pair of folding panels includes a first vertical member and a second vertical member. At least one slot opening is formed in each vertical member. At least one slot opening is formed in the first and second vertical member. Each slot opening has an upper curved surface and a stability straight lower surface. The upper curved surface has at least a portion of which is a segment of an arc. The upper curved surface is located opposite the substantially straight lower surface. The upper curved surface having a height from a top end therefore to the substantially straight lower surface.
MODULAR FURNITURE WITH STRESSED DOVETAIL TAB JOINT
An improved joint is provided for modular furniture. The joint includes a dovetail shaped tab and a corresponding slot. The tab is held in the slot such that the tab is maintained in an elastically bent position while the item of modular furniture is in an assembled configuration. The tab and slot provides increased stiffness and rigidity to the piece of furniture while allowing the piece of furniture to be assembled without fasteners such as screws or nails.
