HYDROGEL HYBRID MATERIAL, METHOD OF ITS PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
A biocompatible hydrogel hybrid material useful in regenerative medicine, in particular in reconstruction of bone tissue.and a method of its preparation is disclosed,
Silica-containing resin composition and method for producing same, and molded article produced from silica-containing resin composition
A silica-containing resin composition, characterized by containing a resin and silica particles in an amount of 5 to 300 parts by mass, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the resin, wherein the silica particles satisfy the following requirements (a) to (c): (a) the silica particles have a specific surface area, as determined through a nitrogen absorption method, of 20 to 500 m.sup.2/g; (b) the silica particles have a percent moisture absorption of 5.0 mass % or less at a relative humidity of 50%; and (c) the silica particles contain substantially no metallic impurity or halogen.
Fluoroalkylsilanated mesoporous metal oxide particles and methods of preparation thereof
Treated, mesoporous aggregates comprising a plurality of coated particles that comprise an inorganic oxide core having a surface area of about 50 to about 500 square meters per gram and a shell or coating consisting of an array of fluoroalkyl molecular chains covalently bonded to the core at a density of at least one chain per square nanometer. The aggregates are formed by the chemical attachment of fluoroalkyl-alkylsilanes after exposure to an alkylamine and followed by an extraction to remove any unbound organic material. The dense packing of molecular chains in the fluoroalkyl shell combined with a mesoporous structure imparts a very low surface energy, a very high specific surface area, and surface texture over a wide range of length scales. Such features are highly desirable for the creation of, for example, superhydrophobic and superoleophobic surfaces, separation media, and release films.
HIGHLY DISPERSIBLE PRECIPITATED SILICA AND METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF
The present invention provides highly dispersible precipitated silica having improved structure and properties for use as reinforcing filler in elastomeric compositions and method of preparation thereof. The present invention further provides an alkaline silicate solution having reduced dielectric constant by digesting biogenic silica source with alkaline solution such that soluble organic compounds present in the biogenic silica source leach into the alkaline silicate solution. The alkaline silicate solution obtained as above is then acidified with a mineral acid under particular conditions of pH, temperature, time etc. to obtain the highly dispersible precipitated silica of the present invention.
FILM, LIQUID PAINT AND METHOD
A film for absorbing visible light, including: a plurality of silica nanoparticles, wherein a surface of at least a part of the plurality of silica nanoparticles is functionalized with a plurality of pigment molecules of a Melanin type compound.
Hydrophilic silica as filler for silicone rubber formulations
Provided is a hydrophilic precipitated silica which is well suited to use in silicone rubber formulations (RTV-1, RTV-2, HTV and LSR), particularly well suited to use in HTV silicone rubber formulations. It has a BET surface area of 185˜260 m.sup.2/g, a CTAB surface area of 100˜160 m.sup.2/g, a BET/CTAB ratio of 1.2˜2.6, and a conductivity of <250 μS/cm. Also provided are a process for producing the precipitated silica and the use of the precipitated silica for thickening and reinforcing silicone rubber formulations.
Core Shell Silica Particles and Uses Thereof As an Anti-Bacterial Agent
This invention provides core shell silica particles, wherein each core shell silica particle comprises a silica core, and a surface of the silica core etched with group I metal silicate. These core shell silica particles have high surface charge density and anti-bacterial activity. Also provided are compositions comprising core shell silica particles, process of making the core shell silica particles and methods of reducing or inhibiting bacterial activity by administering the core shell silica particles or compositions thereof.
Surface modified pigment
A composition comprising a pigment particle that is coated with a cationic material and isopropyl titanium tri-isostearate. The pigment particle can be included in a cleansing composition for deposition on a surface, such as skin.
Off-white and gray autodeposition coatings
A method for coating a metal substrate with a white, off-white or gray colored autodeposited coating comprising water, polymeric resin, HF and pigment particles comprising a core of titanium dioxide, an intermediate zirconia and/or alumina layer, and an outer organic layer, optionally the particles are treated with an anionic surfactant.
Agglomerated silica, rubber composition, tire, producing method of agglomerated silica, and producing method of rubber composition
Agglomerated silica is obtained by mixing silica with a rosin resin to be agglomerated.
