Retraction and extension device for a foot and/or leg support of an item of seating and/or lounging furniture
A retraction and extension device (100) for a foot and/or leg support of an item of seating and/or lounging furniture, with two substantially parallel arms (102), each arm (102) includes a first fastener (106) for rotatable fastening to a chassis (108) of the item of seating and/or lounging furniture, second fastener (110) for fastening the foot and/or leg support to the respective arm (102), and a plurality of struts arranged in two rows (104), in each of the rows (104) the struts of the respective row (104) are connected in a rotatable manner to each other. Some of the struts in each of the rows (104) are connected in a rotatable manner to at least one strut of the respective other row (104), wherein the first and the second fastener are spaced apart from each other by a distance of less than 50 cm.
CABLE CONNECTOR FOR A CHAIR FUNCTION CONTROLLER AND OPERATOR
Disclosed herein is a chair of the kind that is shipped to a user disassembled. The chair includes at least one chair function controller (i.e., a paddle) that is actuated to control a chair function operator (e.g., a gas cylinder located below and coupled to the chair seat). During assembly, a pair of cable sections are mechanically and serially connected to one another at a force responsive connector block that is located within and slidable through a cable connector housing at the bottom of the chair seat. By virtue of connecting the first and second cables together at the connector block, the chair function controller paddle is connected to the chair function operator so that an actuation of the controller causes a pulling force to be applied to the chair function operator to enable the seat or back of the chair to be displaced.
ADJUSTABLE SEAT AND LEANING APPARATUS
An adjustable seating solution that enables users to adjust several seating characteristics is disclosed. In a relatively low sitting position, the disclosed device provides some support if the user leans back, but predominately supports the user's weight and requires the user to engage core muscles to maintain good posture. The disclosed apparatus enables the user to adjust the seat upward to a leaning position. A platform extends forward under the user's feet to ensure that when the user leans against the seat, the apparatus remains stable. The apparatus enables the seat portion to be tilted, such that varying contours can be selected to engage the user's body in a desired way. At low heights, the user can tilt the seat portion forward to require the user to further engage core muscles while seated. At higher heights, the user can customize the contour of the seat that engages the user's body.

MECHANISM FOR A CHAIR
A mechanism for a chair is particularly suited for an office chair. In order to improve the sitting comfort of a chair, the mechanism has a base support to be placed on a chair column, a seat support disposed on the base support and movable in the longitudinal direction of the chair relative to the base support, and a backrest support which is connected to the seat support. The seat support includes first and second seat support elements. The second seat support element is movable transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the chair relative to the first seat support element and/or the backrest support includes first and second backrest support elements. The second backrest support element is rotatable relative to the first backrest support element about a rotational axis which lies in the longitudinal direction of the chair.
Chair equipped with supporter for shoulder
A chair equipped with shoulder supporter is provided. The chair equipped with shoulder supporter can obtain an effect of attitude remedy by reducing the pressure applied to the spine and by inducing an upright attitude of erecting the waist vertically through a shoulder supporter which is connected to a hip supporter through a base. The shoulder supporter comprises an armpit supporter provided above a vertical supporter. The chair equipped with shoulder supporter can maximize convenience and enable the multi-purpose use by selecting the use and non-use of the arm supporter or the shoulder supporter with the direction change through up-down or forward-rearward direction rotation of the arm supporter or with the folding of the armpit supporter through a rotation shaft.
BODY SUPPORT DEVICE FOR SURGERY
The present application discloses a body support device for surgery with a dynamic support for the torso. This device stimulates the adoption of a more natural posture and provides the dissipation of the load placed on the bone and muscle structures in the spinal column through the combination of the torso support (1) to the posterior support (13). The posterior support (13) consists of the systematization of the human vertebral column, comprising a set of segments (13) chained and aligned by the passage of an elastic medium (14) therein, controlled by the user's action. Thus, this technology allows for minimizing surgeon's physical fatigue resulting from a prolonged posture in surgery.

Profile ottoman linkage
An ottoman linkage is provided that moves a footrest from a closed position to an extended position. The ottoman linkage includes a front ottoman link coupled to a seat mounting plate, and an outside ottoman link pivotally coupled to the front ottoman link. A rear ottoman link is coupled to the seat mounting plate and the outside ottoman link. An inside ottoman link is pivotally coupled on a first end to the front ottoman link, and pivotally coupled on a second end to a footrest bracket, the inside ottoman link being generally in-line with the outside ottoman link when the mechanism is in an extended position, and the outside ottoman link having a width that obscures the inside ottoman link from view.
