TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE OR POLYISOCYANURATE LOW PRESSURE SPRAY FOAM COMPOSITION CONTAINING A GASEOUS BLOWING AGENT COMPRISING PRESSURIZED CARBON DIOXIDE
Storage-stable two-component polyurethane or polyisocyanurate spray foam compositions are disclosed, said compositions comprising: (a) an A-side component comprising one or more polyisocyanate and one or more blowing agent; and (b) a B-side component comprising one or more polyol and one or more blowing agent comprising pressurized gaseous carbon dioxide and one or more liquid blowing agent; wherein both the A-side component and the B-side component, separately, generate less than 300 ppm of fluoride ion after one week of aging at 50° C.

An alumina powder satisfying the following expressions is provided: (Expression 1) 0.7T.sub.X≤T.sub.A≤1.3T.sub.X; (Expression 2) 0.7T.sub.X≤T.sub.B≤1.3T.sub.X; and (Expression 3) 0.7T.sub.X≤T.sub.C≤1.3T.sub.X, where T.sub.X represents a mean value of a peak height T.sub.A of a peak A in a particle size distribution of 0.3 μm or more to less than 1.2 μm, a peak height T.sub.B of a peak B in a particle size distribution of 0.7 μm or more to less than 3 μm, and a peak height T.sub.C of a peak C in a particle size distribution of 3 μm or more to less than 20 μm.
Solvent system and method of preparing water based aerosol base paint
A solvent system is provided, which enables increased amount of exact color tone recipes even when using with currently known dispensing machines having a minimum dispensing limit of 0.01-0.02 ml of a color paste component. The system enables a capability of tinting paints in a tone-accurate manner even into aerosol paint cans of small filling volume. The system provides a capability of radically reducing the amount of various ready-to-use aerosol paints and aerosol base paints stocked by a storekeeper. The disclosure provides an aerosol paint for tinting, as well as a tinted aerosol paint which is suitable for use in a process of mechanized tinting, and by which a good paint coverage on a painted surface is achieved.
SEALANT COMPOSITION
A process for producing a sealed stitched skin structure including the steps of: (a) providing a stitched skin member; (b) providing an aqueous thermoplastic polyolefin dispersion sealant coating composition; (c) applying the aqueous thermoplastic polyolefin dispersion sealant coating composition from step (a) to at least a portion of the surface of at least one side of the skin member to form a wet film or coating of the thermoplastic polyolefin dispersion sealant coating composition on the surface of the skin member; (d) drying the wet coating from step (c) on the skin member surface; and (e) heating the dried skin member from step (d) at a temperature sufficient to form a film or coating of the aqueous thermoplastic polyolefin dispersion sealant coating composition on the stitches of the seam in the skin member; wherein the film or coating seals the stitches in the skin member; a sealed stitched skin structure made by the process above; and a polyurethane foamed article.
A METHOD FOR REDUCING WATER CONTENT OF AN EPOXY OR/AND POLYURETHANE PAINT DISPERSION AND AN EPOXY OR/AND POLYURETHANE PAINT DISPERSION
The invention relates to a method for reducing water content of an epoxy or/and polyurethane paint dispersion to be prepared in a sealed and pressurized aerosol can which paint dispersion comprises, —free water of an amount W1, —organic solvent(s) of an amount W2,5-epoxy or/and polyurethane resin of an amount W3, —liquefied propellant of an amount W5, —ketone of an amount W6, —blocked hardener (hardener precursor) of the epoxy or/and polyurethane resin of an amount W4, wherein said blocked hardener compounds of said epoxy or/and 10 polyurethane resin is selected from the group comprising of an aldimine, an enamine, an imine, a Mannich base, a Schiff's base, an oxazolidine or a bisoxazol-idine, and mixtures thereof, —adjuvants, —water scavenger(s), —catalytic amount of a weak acid to shift equilibrium of reversible reaction (I) between the free water present in said dispersion and blocked hardener compounds of the epoxy or/and polyurethane resin back to formation of said initial epoxy or polyure-thane blocked hardener compounds and to prevent formation of the epoxy or/and polyurethane hardener amines: expoxy and/or polyurethane hardener+ketones catalyst expoxy and/or polyurethane+free water (amine) hardener precursor (1). The method comprises a step in which before providing organic solvent into the aerosol can its water content is reduced by admixing reactant with sulfonyl isocya-nate functionality as a water scavenger into said organic solvent.
MIXED LIQUID AGENT, POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION, POLYURETHANE FOAM, SPRAY CAN, AND MIXING SYSTEM
A mixed liquid agent of the present invention comprises a polyol compound, a catalyst, a flame retardant, and an organic solvent. The flame retardant includes a solid flame retardant. The organic solvent has a vapor pressure at 20° C. of 0.1 MPaG or more. A viscosity at 1 rpm and 25° C. after the organic solvent has been volatilized is 4,000 mPa.Math.s or more and less than 250,000 mPa.Math.s.
MATERIALS, METHODS, DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR INSULATING CAVITIES OF BUILDINGS WITH FOAM INSULATION
The present disclosure relates generally to methods, devices and systems for insulation, e.g., of cavities associated with walls, ceilings, floors and other building structures, with foam insulation. In one aspect, the disclosure provides an expanding foam insulation material, the expanding foam insulation material being dispensable and expandable to provide an expanding foam insulation material having a maximum foam height; and no local pressure maximum of more than 500 Pa, wherein for each local pressure maximum in excess of 50 Pa, a time difference between a time of the local pressure maximum and a time of 95% maximum foam height is no more than 80 seconds. The expanding foam insulation material is desirably provided with Class A fire rating.
AEROSOL COMPOSITION FOR FORMING PEELABLE COATINGS
A quick drying aerosol composition for coating a metal substrate for inhibiting corrosion, wherein droplets of the composition are adapted to be discharged from an aerosol spray device, the aerosol composition comprises: an emulsion of a resin in an amount in the range of 10 wt % to 60 wt % selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl lower acyl esters in which the acyl has from two to five carbon atoms, poly (lower alkyl) acrylates in which the alkyl has from one to four carbon atoms, poly (lower alkyl) methacrylates in which the alkyl has from one to four carbon atoms, and copolymers thereof; one or more 100 thickening or anti-caking agents in amount in the range of 0.5 wt % to 7 wt %; a plasticizer in an amount in the range of 1 wt % to 15 wt % compatible with the resin; and a non-aqueous carrier/solvent in an amount 5 wt % to 35 wt %.
REVERSIBLY THERMOCHROMIC COMPOSITION AND REVERSIBLY THERMOCHROMIC MICROCAPSULE PIGMENT ENCAPSULATING THE SAME
[Problems] To provided are a reversibly thermochromic composition that shows black during color development by using a fluoran derivative having a specific structure as an electron-donating color-developing organic compound, turns colorless during decoloration, and is excellent in light resistance and a microcapsule pigment encapsulating the reversibly thermochromic composition.
[Solution] Disclosed is a reversibly thermochromic composition including: (a) a fluoran derivative having a specific structure as an electron-donating color-developing organic compound; (b) a compound having a specific structure as an electron-accepting compound; and (c) a reaction medium which reversibly induces an electron transfer reaction between the component (a) and the component (b) in a specific temperature range, and a reversibly thermochromic microcapsule pigment encapsulating the reversibly thermochromic composition.
