Self-Sealing Coating for Fuel Tanks
A method of forming a self-sealing fuel tank includes: providing a container including internal surfaces and external surfaces and configured to hold a fuel; forming a latex coating layer over at least a portion of the internal surfaces and/or external surfaces; depositing or encapsulating an environmental layer over at least a portion of the latex coating layer; where the latex coating layer swells when contacted with the fuel; and where the latex coating layer is formed from a latex coating composition that is substantially free of a non-ionic associative thickener.
LOW TEMPERATURE CURE COATING COMPOSITIONS
A film-forming thermoset coating composition includes: (a) an aqueous medium; and Option 1 and/or Option 2 as follows: Option 1: (b1) polyurethane-acrylate core-shell particles including a polymeric acrylic core at least partially encapsulated by a polymeric shell including urethane linkages, where the polymeric shell includes an acid functional group and two or more hydrazide functional groups, where the polymeric shell is covalently bonded to at least a portion of the polymeric core; and (c1) (i) formaldehyde; (ii) polyformaldehyde; and/or (iii) a compound that generates formaldehyde; Option 2: (b2) polyurethane-acrylate core-shell particles including a polymeric acrylic core at least partially encapsulated by a polymeric shell including urethane linkages, where the polymeric shell includes an acid functional group and two or more N-methylolated hydrazide functional groups, where the polymeric shell is covalently bonded to at least a portion of the polymeric core.

The present disclosure provides for compositions including a composite particle, methods for making the composite particle, methods for using the composite particle, articles upon which the composite particle have been disposed, compositions including the composite particle and a fluid, devices including the composite particle and the fluid, and methods of using the composition including the composite particle and the fluid. Due to the structure and composition of the composite particle, the composite particle can be dispersed in an aqueous medium and then coated on a surface of an article, where upon evaporation of the aqueous solution forms a hydrophobic or superhydrophobic coating on the surface of the article.
PROCESS OF PREPARING A STRUCTURAL COLORED COATING FILM AND ITS ARTICLES
Described herein is a process of preparing a structural colored coating film including steps of i) applying colloidal particles dispersed in a solvent mixture including at least two organic solvents onto a substrate to form a colloidal particles layer; ii) drying the colloidal particles layer to form a photonic crystal structure layer; iii) applying a coating composition including at least one thermally crosslinkable resin and at least one crosslinking agent onto the photonic crystal structure layer to form a coating; and iv) heat curing. Also described herein is an article having at least one structural colored coating film obtainable or obtained from the process.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VINYL CHLORIDE-VINYL ACETATE COPOLYMER LATEX
Provided is a method of preparing a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer latex.
Specifically, in one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method of preparing a latex including vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer particles with a high degree of polymerization and molecular weight and a uniform particle composition by performing an emulsion polymerization of a vinyl chloride monomer and a vinyl acetate monomer in the presence of an aqueous dispersion medium and an emulsifier while optimizing a feeding mode of the vinyl chloride monomer and the emulsifier.

Provided is an ATF oil and corona-resistant enameled wire for electric vehicle motors, belonging to the insulating materials field. The ATF oil and corona-resistant enameled wire for electric vehicle motors comprises a copper conductor and an insulating layer, wherein said insulating layer from inside to outside is composed of ATF oil and corona-resistant protective film, corona-resistant PAI film, ATF oil and corona-resistant protective film, corona-resistant PAI film, ATF oil and corona-resistant protective film. The ATF oil and corona resistant enameled wire of this disclosure is suitable for the preparation of oil-cooled electric vehicle motor loose winding coil due to the advantages of good manufacturability, excellent ATF oil and corona resistance, and low manufacturing cost.

In an example, a three-dimensional (3D) printing kit includes a metallic build material composition; a binding agent; and a release agent for patterning a breakable connection. The binding agent includes a first latex binder. The release agent includes a white colorant including a white metal oxide pigment coated with a coating selected from the group consisting of alumina, silica, and combinations thereof; boehmite particles; a second latex binder; and an aqueous vehicle.

A process for producing a barrier composition includes subjecting a siloxane compound having 1 to 3 amino groups and an aqueous solution including water and an alcohol to hydrolysis and first-stage condensation under required conditions, subjecting a first colloidal mixture obtained and an additional alcohol to second-stage condensation, subjecting a second colloidal mixture obtained, which has a particular solid content, to heating under required conditions, and subjecting a cured product obtained to aging under required conditions. A barrier composition produced by the process is also disclosed.
WOOD STAINS AND PENETRATION PRIMERS COMPRISING LOW VOC LEVEL AQUEOUS DISPERSIONS
Disclosed are stable penetration primer or wood stain formulations. The formulation may comprise a) an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising a polymer produced by free-radically initiated emulsion polymerization of at least one ethylenically unsaturated strong acid monomer with a pKa less than 4 (in water at 20° C.) and at least one ethylenically unsaturated weak acid monomer with a pKa of 4 or greater (in water at 20° C.); and b) at least one water-soluble alkali metal silicate, at least one water-soluble alkali metal or alkaline earth metal alkyl siliconate, or a mixture thereof.

Coated articles, methods and coating compositions containing (a) a crosslinkable carboxyl-functional acrylic polymer made by polymerizing monomers including acidic monomer, multi-ethylenically unsaturated monomer and optional styrene or substituted styrene, and (b) a nitrogen-containing carboxyl-reactive crosslinking agent such as a beta-hydroxyalkylamide or beta-hydroxyalkylurea compound.
