In a method for producing paints by means of mixing fluid products, there is provided a group of fluid products comprising at least one white paint, containing a predetermined percentage quantity of titanium dioxide, and at least one neutral paint which does not have colorants. There is then provided an empty container which is filled with a predetermined quantity of paint which is obtained by mixing the white paint and the neutral paint at variable proportions between 0% and 100%. There is obtained a resultant paint which has a content of titanium dioxide which is selected between a maximum, corresponding to the content of titanium of the white paint, and 0%, corresponding to the content of titanium of the neutral paint.

THERMOSETTING COATING COMPOSITIONS

The present invention provides emulsions comprising curable polyesters and certain surfactants. The emulsions are useful as coatings binders in waterborne thermosetting coating compositions and can be used in conjunction with cross-linking compounds reactive with curable polyesters. Also provided are shaped or formed articles coated with the waterborne thermosetting coating compositions of the invention.

AMINE-BASED PRIMER COATINGS FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING
20220033674 · 2022-02-03 · ·

Electrophotographic printing techniques offer excellent image quality, but image adhesion to a desired substrate may be problematic in many instances. Primer coatings for improving image adhesion to a substrate may be formed from primer compositions comprising a fluid and an amine-functionalized copolymer dispersed in the fluid as an emulsion, in which the amine-functionalized copolymer has an amine number of about 10 to about 180 mg KOH/g copolymer. The fluid may be aqueous or organic. Suitable amine-functionalized copolymers may be formed by an emulsion polymerization reaction of one or more first ethylenically unsaturated monomers lacking an amine group and one or more second ethylenically unsaturated monomers bearing at least one amine group. The at least one amine group comprises a side chain of the amine-functionalized copolymer.

Organic-inorganic hybrid polymer latex for high durable traffic marking paint

The present invention includes processes and methods of preparing the hybrid polymer latex for coating composition that can be used for traffic markings, transportation and signages. The process may comprise preparing an initial monomer mix pre-emulsion of unsaturated organic compounds, preparing an initial inorganic dispersion feed comprising modified inorganic component, preparing an initiator solution, and adding at least 2 parts per 100 parts polymer by weight of polyfunctional amines to result in final hybrid polymer latex. The coating composition obtained by the disclosed process provides superior qualities of moisture proofing, water repellence and early rain resistance to enhance durability of the product.
