A protective, sacrificial, water-reversible, coating composition for the protection of substrates comprised of water, a volatile base, a film-forming acrylic polymer in a water dispersion form, a compatabilizing polymer, specifically poly (2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), a poly acidic polymer (pH specific in terms of its solubility), wherein said coating is both water applied and water reversible or re-soluble under specific pH conditions.
Coatings Containing Polymer Modified Enzyme For Stable Self-Cleaning Of Organic Stains
A process of stabilizing the activity of an enzyme against inactivation by water weathering are provided including associating one or more polymeric moieties of a polyoxyethylene having a molecular weight of 10,000 Daltons or greater with an enzyme to form a chemically modified enzyme; and dispersing said chemically modified enzyme in a base to form a water-stabilized active coating material.
NON-FOAMED COATED TEXTILE AND METHOD OF MAKING
A non-foamed aqueous composition can be applied to fabric substrates to provide non-foamed light-attenuating coatings in resulting coated fabric substrates that produce reduced glare from incident outside light. The non-foamed aqueous composition used to make these coated fabric substrates has a 5-50% solids and a zero shear viscosity of 100-1000 mPa-sec at 25° C. This composition has components i) through iv): i) porous particles at 0.1-20 weight %, and optionally an opacifying colorant; ii) a film-forming binder material comprising at least a chlorinated polymer at 4-20 weight %; iii) a white inorganic particulate filler material having a refraction index (RI) greater than 2 and a median particle size of less than 1 μm, at 5-16 weight %; and iv) a white low-density particulate hydrated alumina having a median particle size of less than or equal to 3 μm, at 2-16 weight %.
Coatings containing polymer modified enzyme for stable self-cleaning of organic stains
Bioactive coatings suitable for facilitating removal of a fingerprint when contacting the coating are provided including a base associated with a chemically modified enzyme, and, optionally a first polyoxyethylene present in the base and independent of the enzyme. The coatings are optionally overlayered onto a substrate. Also provided are processes of facilitating fingerprint removal.
Fast drying aqueous amine free coating composition(s)
Coating compositions and methods providing a high build, fast drying, fast hardening non-amine containing aqueous latex binders are provided, wherein the coating composition is applied to a substrate at a wet film thickness to about 15 mils that ensure drying times of less than 10 minutes. The binder requires the use of at least one specific coalescent solvent with both anionic and non-anionic surfactants.

The present invention relates to aqueous coating compositions for forming an anti-grain-puffing coating, aqueous primers comprising the aqueous coating composition, and articles comprising the anti-grain-puffing coating. In particular, the aqueous coating composition comprises: (a) an aqueous dispersion of polymeric particles, wherein the polymer particles comprise polymer having an anionic hydrophilic group on its molecule chain, and the aqueous dispersion of polymeric particles has a pH of less than 7.0; and (b) an aqueous dispersion of nano-silica.

The invention relates to the field concerning the treatment of plant material, particularly plant material for propagation or reproduction e.g. seeds. The method of the invention comprises the application, to all or part of the surface of plant material, of an aqueous dispersion comprising (a) particles of at least one water-swellable polymer and (b) at least one compound selected from among a mineral salt, organic salt, dispersant organic polymer and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to this treated plant material and to use thereof for cultivating or producing a plant.

The current invention relates to an one-pack aqueous coating composition comprising dispersed carbonyl functional vinyl polymer(s) particles, characterized in that the coating composition further comprises carbodihydrazide, whereby (i) the equivalent molar ratio of hydrazide groups to carbonyl groups is from 0.1 to 0.95, (ii) the ratio of number-average molecular weight of the carbonyl functional vinyl polymer(s) to acid value of the carbonyl functional vinyl polymer(s) is higher than 400, and (iii) the acid value of the carbonyl functional vinyl polymer(s) is from 2 to 100 mg KOH/gram carbonyl functional vinyl polymer.
