Coated article and related methods
A coated article comprises an article comprising a surface and a galvanic barrier coating disposed on the surface. The galvanic barrier coating is formed from a galvanic barrier coating composition comprising (a) a thermoplastic resin, (b) an epoxy-based resin, (c) a curing agent, and (d) non-compressible, non-marring microsphere particles. Methods of preparing and using the coated article are also disclosed.
Application package for powder coatings
Methods and systems for coating metal substrates are provided. The methods and systems include a powder coating composition comprising a polymeric binder and an application package. The application package includes at least one antistatic component and at least one post-blended component. Use of the application package reduces back ionization and faraday cage effects during electrostatic application. The described methods provide coatings with optimal surface smoothness and edge coverage.

UVA MULTIFUNCTIONAL POWDER COATING ADDITIVE COMPOSITION
An ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) Universal Composition powder coating is provided. The composition can include about 73.0 to about 78.0 weight percent (wt. %) of a silicone resin, about 2.0 to about 7.0 wt. % of a hardener, about 0.7 to about 1.2 wt. % of a UV stabilizer, about 0.7 to about 1.2 wt. % of a flow modifier, about 15.0 to about 20.0 wt. % of a glass flake, and about 0.1 to about 0.6 wt. % of a catalyst. A UVA additive composition including a plurality of UVA additive particles having a continuous phase of a silicon resin that contains a hardener, a UV stabilizer, a flow modifier, glass flakes, and a catalyst, wherein the plurality of UVA additive particles have a particle size of 0.5 to 100 m, is also provided.

A powder coating material capable of forming a coating film that is excellent in weather resistance, processability and impact resistance and that improves corrosion resistance of a substrate (in particular, a substrate made of aluminum or of an aluminum alloy), wherein the powder coating material contains a powder of a resin composition, wherein the resin composition contains a fluorinated polymer (A) having a number average molecular weight of from 10,000 to 50,000 and a fluorine content of at least 10 mass %, a resin (B) having a fluorine content of less than 10 mass % or containing no fluorine atom, a curing agent, a plasticizer having a melting point of from 50 to 150 C. and core-shell particles, and wherein the absolute value of the difference between the melting point of the plasticizer and the glass transition temperature of a polymer of a shell portion in the core-shell particles is within 30 C. and the content of the plasticizer is from 5 to 25 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the fluorinated polymer (A).
