Connecting arrangement between joint partners in the chassis region of a vehicle that can be braced separably against one another
A connecting arrangement is provided between joining partners which are braced separably against each other in the chassis region of a vehicle, wherein the joining partners are braced against each other via their contact surfaces by at least one releasable fastening element. Hard particles are applied to the contact surface at least of one of the joining partners before the production of the connecting arrangement and therefore before the bracing mounting of the joining partners and of the fastening element. The hard particles at least partially project into the respectively other contact surface as a result of the bracing mounting. The hard particles are applied so as to be at least approximately abrasion-proof, for example by a blasting process.
EDGE PROTECTION FOR ELECTROCOAT
Aqueous cathodic electrocoat compositions with improved edge protection and methods for preparing such electrocoat compositions are described herein. In an exemplary embodiment, an electrocoat composition includes water; a crosslinkable resin comprising a binder of an epoxy-amine adduct and a crosslinking agent; a neutralizing agent for neutralizing the epoxy amine adduct, wherein the neutralizing agent has a pKa value of greater than 0; and a pigment paste. The pigment paste may comprise silica, barium sulfate or silica and barium sulfate.
Electrodepositable coating compositions containing 1,1-di-activated vinyl compounds
Electrodepositable coating compositions containing 1,1-di-activated vinyl compounds are described. The coating compositions produce cured coating layers that exhibit resistance to cratering. The coating compositions can be used in electrodepositable coating composition formulations.
Method for forming multi-layered coating film
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for forming a multilayer coating film, the method capable of achieving excellent finished appearance and excellent corrosion resistance without affecting electrodeposition coatability even when a part or all of the water-washing step is omitted after chemical conversion treatment, and to provide a coated article. The invention provides a method for forming a multilayer coating film, comprising forming a chemical conversion coating film and an electrodeposition coating film on a metal substrate by Step 1 of immersing a metal substrate in a chemical conversion treatment solution to form a chemical conversion coating film, and Step 2 of omitting a part or all of the water-washing step, and performing electrodeposition coating on the metal substrate using a cationic electrodeposition coating composition to form an electrodeposition coating film, wherein the chemical conversion treatment solution contains less than 500 ppm of sodium ions on a mass basis, and hexafluorozirconic acid. The chemical conversion treatment solution preferably contains no less than 5 ppm to less than 50 ppm of sodium ions, no less than 5 ppm to less than 90 ppm of calcium ions, less than 100 ppm of potassium ions, and less than 90 ppm of magnesium ions, on a mass basis; and is used continuously.

Sensitive film for neutron detection and method for forming the same
The present invention provides a method for forming a sensitive film for neutron detection, wherein the sensitive film is formed by electrophoresis coating, the liquid used for electrophoresis coating includes neutron sensitive material, electrophoresis paint and deionized water, and the neutron sensitive material is .sup.10B single substance, .sup.10B compound or mixture containing .sup.10B. The sensitive film for neutron detection has the high detection efficiency because of the high content of .sup.10B. The sensitive film for neutron detection has the uniform and stable film thickness, and excellent consistency. The production efficiency and the cost of the sensitive film are improved.
High Rate Electric Field Driven Nanoelement Assembly on an Insulated Surface
A method for high rate assembly of nanoelements into two-dimensional void patterns on a non-conductive substrate surface utilizes an applied electric field to stabilize against forces resulting from pulling the substrate through the surface of a nanoelement suspension. The electric field contours emanating from a conductive layer in the substrate, covered by an insulating layer, are modified by a patterned photoresist layer, resulting in an increased driving force for nanoelements to migrate from a liquid suspension to voids on a patterned substrate having a non-conductive surface. The method can be used for the production of microscale and nanoscale circuits, sensors, and other electronic devices.
