CHAIR
A folding chair includes front and rear supports that fold and/or retract into central beams to reduce the space occupied by the chair in a folded configuration. A backrest is coupled to the central beams with a hub that allows an angle of the backrest relative to the central beams to be selected and for the backrest to be folded flat relative to the central beams. One or more actuators and pin actuators may control the relative movements of the backrest, front support, rear support, and central beams.
Sunshade for a chair
A folding chair includes front and rear supports that fold and/or retract into central beams to reduce the space occupied by the chair in a folded configuration. A backrest is coupled to the central beams with a hub that allows an angle of the backrest relative to the central beams to be selected and for the backrest to be folded flat relative to the central beams. One or more actuators and pin actuators may control the relative movements of the backrest, front support, rear support, and central beams.
Adjustable fully upholstered chaise lounger
An adjustable fully upholstered chaise recliner is provided. The chaise comprises a stationary outer frame coupled to a platform. The platform is configured to move between a first position and a second position while the outer frame remains stationary. A cushion is coupled to the platform and is fully upholstered to the platform such that a cover material encloses the cushion and the platform. Movement of the platform causes one or more bending portions of the cushion to bend. The chaise further comprises one or more cords, each extending through the cushion with a first end coupled to the cover material and a second end coupled to the platform. The cords are configured to pull on the cover material such that movement of the platform from the first position to the second position does not result in bunching of the cover material near the bending portions of the cushion.
Flip lounge chair
A lounge chair includes a support structure that is designed to allow the chair to be positioned in a forward facing position, and also be flipped rearwards so that it can be usable as a chair when facing in a rearward position.
ERGONOMICALLY ADJUSTABLE RECLINER
A recliner for variable adjustment between a substantially horizontal position and an ergonomic seating position includes right-hand and left-hand side parts, which are each made up of an outer side part and an inner side part. The recliner also comprises a backrest element and a seat-surface element, which are connected to one another for rotation via a first bearing rod, as well as a foot-part element, which is connected to the seat-surface element for rotation via a second bearing rod. The foot-part element is mounted between the right-hand and left-hand side parts via a third bearing rod. The first, second and third bearing rods are each mounted for translatory movement in a corresponding guide in the right-hand and left-hand side parts such that the backrest element, the seat-surface element and the foot-part element can be adjusted in a variable manner between a substantially horizontal position and an ergonomic seating position.
Solar-powered charging umbrella with USB ports
A solar-powered umbrella has a cap structure that is connected by hinges to struts. The struts are relatively rigid and positioned above the umbrella shade and house solar panels. When the umbrella is opened and closed, the struts rotate via the hinges from an open to closed position. When the solar panels are exposed to the sun, light is converted to electrical energy to charge a rechargeable battery. The battery supplies power to one or more USB ports. A user can recharge an electronic device (e.g., smartphone or tablet computer) by connecting to a port of the umbrella using a cable.
RUCKSACK FRAME
A frame for a rucksack that is convertible into a support for a person such as a chair or bed. Also, a rucksack including such a frame. A convertible frame for a rucksack comprises two main frame members connected together by a pair of extendable connectors; at least two leg members connected or connectable to the main frame members; and a flexible support attached or attachable to the main frame members to extend between the main frame members, the frame being convertible between a first configuration, in which the main frame members have a first distance between them, and a second configuration, in which the frame forms a support for a person and the main frame members have a second distance between them. Also, a rucksack comprising such a frame, a bag, a rear cover and shoulder straps.
Chair with variable positioning and support
An adjustable chair frame with a back and seating surfaces that flex to conform to the shape, weight and movement of an occupant is disclosed. The chair form and proportions provide for a recumbent position that disperses the weight of the occupant more evenly, thereby reducing external and internal physiological point loading. The form also provides ergonomic articulation to minimize internal physiological stresses such as neck/back vertebral compression. Eccentric connections driven by a motor assembly allow positioning adjustment of the components of the chair. Additionally, an air pump assembly may be included to automatically adjust one or more air bladders provided on the interior of the chair frame.
Multi-positional chair assembly
A multi-positional chair assembly comprises a frame portion defined by a pair of sinuously-shaped bars. The frame portion includes a back support section, a middle section, and a buttocks support section. A panel provides a supportive surface for a user. The panel may include a metal sheet, apertures, or parallel strips of material. The frame portion can be positioned in multiple positions to provide a sitting surface, including a lounge chair position and a higher elevated stool position. The chair assembly reconfigures between the lounge chair position and the stool position through rotation. Rotating the buttocks support section and the legs to engage the ground surface achieves the lounge chair position. And rotating the back support section and the legs to engage the ground surface achieves the stool position. The chair may be of a one-piece injection-molded construction.
SOLAR POWERED CHAISE LOUNGE
An adjustable chaise lounge is provided having a generally horizontal main frame, a seat portion, and an adjustable back rest with a free end and a proximal end that is coupled to the chaise lounge. The adjustable chaise lounge uses solar panels and a solar charge converter to power a linear actuator that is moveable between a first position and a second position. The actuator is coupled to at least one support post at a first end and a base of the back rest at a second end such that when the linear actuator moves between the first position and the second position it raises and lowers the adjustable back rest.
