A recliner (1), including a reclining surface (2) and a substructure (3) that can be set on a base and supports the reclining surface (2), the substructure (3) including at least one stand (4) and at least one spring element (5) that is positioned between the stand (4) and the reclining surface (2), the reclining surface (2) being mounted on the spring element (5), the spring element (5) elastically pretensioning the reclining surface (2) in the direction (6) leading away from the stand (4), and the reclining surface (2), when unloaded, being held in an elastically pretensioned manner by a limiting element (7) of the recliner (1).

A spring actuated rocking mechanism can be attached to the legs of a collapsible chair to allow for the user to rock in the collapsible chair. The mechanism may be attached at the factory or retrofitted to the chair. The rocking mechanism can be attached to the end of a leg or disposed within a leg, having a leg portion above and below the mechanism.

A chair includes, a seat, a backrest separated from the seat, and an upper support frame to which the backrest is attached at a position higher than the seat. In the chair, the upper support frame includes a left side portin and a right side portions both extending forward at left and right sides of the seated person and a rear portion that continuously and integrally connects the left side portion and the right side portion. The left side portion and the right side portion are connected to side support bodies arranged on left and right sides of the seat to be tiltable, and the backrest is connected to the upper support frame to be tiltable rearward.

A rocking foldable chair includes a body frame and a support portion. A connecting portion bent upward is fixed at the first end of the support portion. The second end of the support portion extends toward the rear of the body frame. The connecting portion is elastically deformed by an external force, so that the body frame rocks back and forth. The body frame further comprises a first support rod, a second support rod and a second connecting rod. The second support leg is further provided with a pop-up device capable of providing the second support leg with a resilient force.

The frame of the rocker chair may be collapsible to convert from a collapsed configuration for stowing, to an extended configuration for seating a person. The spring member may include an anchored portion anchored to at least a portion of a bottom of the frame, and an extended portion extending from the anchored portion, wherein the extended portion is bendable against spring bias of the extended portion.
