AQUEOUS DISPERSION AND POLYMER MODIFIED CEMENT-BASED COATING COMPOSITION THEREOF
An aqueous dispersion and uses therefor. The aqueous dispersion includes a Component (a), Component (b) and Component (c). Where Component (a) is a polymer prepared by the polymerization of monomers comprising a vinyl ester and an ethylene, where Component (b) is an acrylate-based polymer and where Component (c) is water. A film that is formed from the aqueous dispersion has a glass transition temperature of less than or equal to −7° C. The aqueous dispersion the polymer of the Component (a) has a pot life of longer than or equal to 4 hours after being mixed with cement. Where Component (a) is present in an amount of higher than 35%, based on the total weight of the aqueous dispersion and Component (b) is present in an amount of less than or equal to 20%, based on the total weight of the aqueous dispersion.

An object of the present invention is to provide a thin volume hologram sheet to be embedded sufficiently resistant to a mechanical stress such as a stress including a tensile stress, a shear stress and a compression stress at the time of processing even under a heating condition, a forgery prevention paper and a card using the same. The object is achieved by providing a volume hologram sheet to be embedded comprising a volume hologram layer, and a substrate disposed only on one side surface of the volume hologram layer using an adhesion means, wherein a peeling strength of the volume hologram layer and the substrate is 25 gf/25 mm or more.

A water- and oil-proofing composition which can provide an article with high utility oil resistance is provided. A water- and oil-proofing composition comprising a fluorinated polymer comprising units based on the following monomer (a) and units based on the following monomer (b), a fatty acid ester of polyglycerin and an aqueous medium: Monomer (a): a compound represented by CH.sub.2═CH—R.sup.f (wherein R.sup.f is a C.sub.1-8 perfluoroalkyl group). Monomer (b): a monomer copolymerizable with the monomer (a).

A water- and oil-proofing composition which can provide an article with high utility oil resistance is provided. A water- and oil-proofing composition comprising a fluorinated polymer comprising units based on the following monomer (a) and units based on the following monomer (b), a fatty acid ester of polyglycerin and an aqueous medium: Monomer (a): a compound represented by CH.sub.2═CH—R.sup.f (wherein R.sup.f is a C.sub.1-8 perfluoroalkyl group). Monomer (b): a monomer copolymerizable with the monomer (a).
A NON-SENSITIZING ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION FOR WATERBORNE COATING COMPOSITIONS
An antimicrobial composition for use as a preservative for waterborne coating compositions where said antimicrobial composition comprise at least two organic compounds in combination selected from a combination of compound group i) and compound group ii). Compound group i) is selected from the group consisting of dodecanoic acid, metal dodecaonoate, ammonium dodecanoate and a combination thereof, while compound group ii) is selected from the group consisting of propionic acid, metal formate, metal propionate, ammonium propionate and a combination thereof. The waterborne coating composition is based on an emulsion polymer resin based on a radical polymerization polymer selected from the group consisting of; vinyl acetate (PVA) polymer, vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) copolymer, vinyl acrylic copolymer, acrylic polymer, styrene acrylic copolymer, vinyl acetate/ethylene/vinyl chloride copolymer, vinyl acetate versatate and combinations thereof. The antimicrobial composition constitutes 0.3-3.0% by weight of the coating composition.
A NON-SENSITIZING ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION FOR WATERBORNE COATING COMPOSITIONS
An antimicrobial composition for use as a preservative for waterborne coating compositions where said antimicrobial composition comprise at least two organic compounds in combination selected from a combination of compound group i) and compound group ii). Compound group i) is selected from the group consisting of dodecanoic acid, metal dodecaonoate, ammonium dodecanoate and a combination thereof, while compound group ii) is selected from the group consisting of propionic acid, metal formate, metal propionate, ammonium propionate and a combination thereof. The waterborne coating composition is based on an emulsion polymer resin based on a radical polymerization polymer selected from the group consisting of; vinyl acetate (PVA) polymer, vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) copolymer, vinyl acrylic copolymer, acrylic polymer, styrene acrylic copolymer, vinyl acetate/ethylene/vinyl chloride copolymer, vinyl acetate versatate and combinations thereof. The antimicrobial composition constitutes 0.3-3.0% by weight of the coating composition.

A biodegradable cellulose fiber-based substrate, at least one side of which is coated with a release coating including: a) at least one water-soluble polymer (WSP) containing hydroxyl groups, and b) at least one lactone substituted with at least one linear or branched and/or cyclic C.sub.8-C.sub.30 hydrocarbon chain which may contain heteroatoms. The biodegradable substrate is certified biodegradable in accordance with EN 13432. A method of production thereof is also disclosed.
