WATER-BARRIER LAMINATED FILM
A water-barrier laminated film (10) including a plastic film (A) that has an inorganic barrier layer (A1) on the surface thereof and a water-trapping layer (B), characterized in that: between the plastic film (A) and the water-trapping layer (B), an isocyanate type coating (C) is provided that contains, as a film-forming component, an isocyanate type polymer obtained by reacting an isocyanate as the reaction component; and the water-trapping layer (B) is formed on the isocyanate type coating (C) that is formed as the underlying layer.
SOFT MATTE NON-SILICONE FILM
The present invention relates to a polymeric film, which may have but is not limited to Biaxially oriented polyester, polypropylene & polylactic acid that has a soft-touch matte coating applied via an in-line coating process. This film also has an increased coefficient of friction of this surface, with a total thickness from 5 to 80 m. The film of this invention has excellent suitability as external packaging bags with an excellent matte appearance and soft haptic feel which, when the bags are stacked A side to A side (A side being coated), are not subject to slippage between the same. At the same time, this film has also low friction with metal, so it is easy to handle the film in the film making process which contributes to the excellent productivity.

Polyurethane coating material compositions and use thereof for producing multicoat paint systems
Disclosed herein is a coating material compositions containing (A) a polyhydroxyl group-containing component, (B) a component (B) having on average at least one isocyanate group and having on average at least one of: at least one hydrolyzable silane group of the formula (I): NR(XSiRx(OR)3-x), and at least one hydrolyzable silane group of the formula (II): N(XSiRx(OR)3-x)n(XSiRy(OR)3-y)m, (D) a phosphorus and nitrogencontaining catalyst, and a catalyst (Z), wherein: the catalyst (Z) is selected from zinc and bismuth carboxylates, of aluminum, zirconium, titanium and/or boron chelates and/or of inorganic, tin-containing catalysts, and mixtures thereof; and the coating material composition comprises at least one reaction accelerator (R) which is selected from the group of inorganic acids and/or of organic acids and/or of partial esters of the inorganic acids and/or of partial esters of the organic acids. Processes for producing multicoat paint systems, and coatings obtained from the coating material compositions are also disclosed.

ONE-COMPONENT AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING POLYURETHANE AND PHYLLOSILICATES FOR OXYGEN BARRIER COATINGS
Described is an aqueous one-component coating composition comprising dispersed polyurethane and phyllosilicate. The polyurethane carries acid groups which are at least partially neutralized with a hydrophilic base selected from inorganic bases and organic mono-amines. The hydrophilic base has a water solubility at 20 C. of at least 150 g/l, preferably of at least 200 g/l. The composition can be used for providing oxygen barrier properties to a polymer film.
ONE-COMPONENT AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING POLYURETHANE AND PHYLLOSILICATES FOR OXYGEN BARRIER COATINGS
Described is an aqueous one-component coating composition comprising dispersed polyurethane and phyllosilicate. The polyurethane carries acid groups which are at least partially neutralized with a hydrophilic base selected from inorganic bases and organic mono-amines. POLYURETHANE-POLYACRYLATE HYBRID SYSTEMS FOR PACKAGING INKS AND COATINGS
Described herein are compositions suitable for use as binder components for inclusion in printing inks and coatings, such as those used in the gravure and flexographic printing process and which are printed on substrates such as polyolefin (e.g., polyethylene, polypropylene) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). The compositions are non-aqueous dispersions in which an one or more ethylenically unsaturated acrylates or (meth)acrylates is polymerized with a polyurethane, polyurethane-urea or polyurea in a non-aqueous polymerization medium, such as esters, ketones, and mixtures thereof, forming polymeric hybrid resins in the polymerization medium, which are solvent-dispersible hybrid resins of polyurethane-polyacrylate, polyurethane-urea-polyacrylate, and polyurea-polyacrylate. Films of hybrid resins are also disclosed. These materials exhibit improved film adhesion and are suitable for flexographic and gravure printing inks, especially for printing applications where adhesive lamination bond strengths are required, especially plastic films packaging applications.
