Fluorine-containing coating film and water- and oil-repellent coating composition

It is an object of the present invention to provide a coating film capable of realizing satisfactory sliding properties in addition to water- and oil-repellent properties and wear resistance evaluated by a static contact angle, and a coating composition for obtaining the coating film. The present invention is directed to a fluorine-containing coating film which has a root mean square roughness of less than 3.5 nm and has a perfluoropolyether structure. It is preferred that the coating film has a polysiloxane backbone and further has a structure in which a fluoroalkyl group is directly bonded to a silicon atom of the polysiloxane backbone, and that a sliding angle of 6 μL of a water droplet is 24.3° or less, or a speed of 20 μL of a water droplet sliding on a coating film inclined at 32° is 0.1 cm/second or more.

Preparation of Polysiloxane Polyalkyleneglycol Brush Copolymers

The present invention relates a hydroxyl-functionalized unimodal polysiloxane polyalkyleneglycol brush copolymer of the structure [A(-X—B)].sub.s, wherein: A represents said polysiloxane backbone; B represents said polyalkyleneglycol side chain; X is a linker group characterized by including the moiety Si—C—C— of which said Si is a part of the polysiloxane backbone A; and s is an integer of from 1 to 100, wherein the polysiloxane backbone A contains less than 500 ppm mol % of SiH moiety based on the total moles of the silicon atom which constitutes the polysiloxane backbone, and said copolymer has a polydispersity index of from 1.3 to 5.0; and a method for producing said hydroxyl-functionalized unimodal polysiloxane polyalkyleneglycol brush copolymer.

The vehicle includes a co-solvent, a surfactant, a humectant, and water. The anti-coalescing polymer has a mean particle size ranging from about 50 nm to about 195 nm, and the anti-coalescing polymer is to coat polymeric build material particles to prevent the polymeric build material particles from coalescing during electromagnetic radiation exposure of the 3D printing process.

ANTI-REFLECTIVE FILM, POLARIZER COMPRISING THE SAME, AND IMAGE DISPLAY COMPRISING THE ANTI-REFLECTIVE FILM AND/OR THE POLARIZER COMPRISING THE SAME

The invention is to provide an anti-reflective film. The anti-reflective film comprises a substrate, a hard coating layer disposed on the substrate and a low refractive layer disposed on the hard coating layer. The low refractive layer comprises a (meth)acrylate resin, hollow silica nanoparticles, an initiator and a leveling agent. Wherein the leveling agent comprises a (meth)acrylic-modified organosilicone compound having a perfluoropolyether group. The reflectivity of the anti-reflective film of the present invention is in the range of 1.2% to 1.4%.

ANTI-REFLECTIVE FILM, POLARIZER COMPRISING THE SAME, AND IMAGE DISPLAY COMPRISING THE ANTI-REFLECTIVE FILM AND/OR THE POLARIZER COMPRISING THE SAME

The invention is to provide an anti-reflective film. The anti-reflective film comprises a substrate, a hard coating layer disposed on the substrate and a low refractive layer disposed on the hard coating layer. The low refractive layer comprises a (meth)acrylate resin, hollow silica nanoparticles, an initiator and a leveling agent. Wherein the leveling agent comprises a (meth)acrylic-modified organosilicone compound having a perfluoropolyether group. The reflectivity of the anti-reflective film of the present invention is in the range of 1.2% to 1.4%.

POLYOXYALKYLENE COUPLED ZWITTERIONIC MOIETY AND SURFACE ACTIVE REACTIVE POLYMERS, COATING COMPOSITIONS AND FOULING CONTROL COATINGS THEREOF

A variety of polyoxyalkylene coupled zwitterionic moieties are provided as well as surface active reactive polymers containing the polyoxyalkylene coupled zwitterionic moieties. When incorporated in coating systems, such surface active polymers show strong propensity to stratify during curing. The zwitterionic groups presented at the end of polyalkylene oxide chains can allow for effective exposure of the zwitterionic groups at the coating/water interface as the polyoxyalkylene side chains of the said SAP can further extend (to its radius of gyration) into the water phase. Additional features of the polyoxyalkylene coupled zwitterionic moieties can include a reactive end group (R) to allow covalent attachment of the moiety to a surface, a particle, a small molecule, or a polymer. Coating compositions and coated articles containing the polyoxyalkylene coupled zwitterionic moieties are also provided.

Fluorochemical coating composition and article treated therewith

A fluorochemical coating composition is provided comprising (A) a hydrolyzable group-containing silane modified with a fluorooxyalkylene-containing polymer and (B) a fluorooxyalkylene-containing polymer having an average molecular weight not higher than the average molecular weight of component (A) in a weight ratio (A)/(B) of 40/60 to 95/5. The composition forms on a substrate a water/oil repellent layer which does not detract from the visibility of the substrate.
