RELEASE INKJET PRINTING INK ARTICLES
An article and a method of making thereof. The article includes a polymeric film having a first major surface and a second major surface; and a plurality of discrete domains of an inkjet printing ink comprising a low adhesion backsize coating composition deposited on the first major surface of the polymeric film; wherein the low adhesion backsize coating composition has a viscosity between 1 to 30 cp at a printing temperature between 20 to 70 degrees Celsius.
RELEASE INKJET PRINTING INK ARTICLES
An article and a method of making thereof. The article includes a polymeric film having a first major surface and a second major surface; a first plurality of domains of a first inkjet printing ink comprising a first low adhesion backsize coating composition deposited on the first major surface of the polymeric film; and a second plurality of domains of a second inkjet printing ink comprising a second low adhesion backsize coating composition deposited on the first major surface of the polymeric film; wherein the first and second low adhesion backsize coating composition has a viscosity between 1 to 30 cp at a printing temperature between 20 to 70 degrees Celsius; and wherein at least some of the first plurality of domains overlaps some of the second plurality of domains.
Roll and method for producing roll
A roll and a method for producing a roll which are capable of effectively preventing tunneling are provided. A roll includes a core having a tubular shape and a laminate wound around the core. The laminate includes a process film, a surface coat layer, a substrate layer, an adhesive layer, and a release liner, in this order, in a laminating direction. The process film is formed from at least one member selected from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyolefins, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The surface coat layer is formed from a fluorine resin. The release liner is formed from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The core is formed from an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer resin (ABS) or polypropylene (PP).
Carrier tape system and methods of using carrier tape system
The current disclosure describes carrier tape systems that include a carrier tape substrate and a cover tape. The carrier tape system includes a plurality of repetitive adhesion areas where the carrier tape substrate and cover tape are attached to each other and non-adhesion areas where the carrier tape substrate and cover tape are not attached to each other. Separating the cover tape and the carrier tape substrate at these repetitive adhesion and non-adhesion areas imparts a vibration to the cover tape which impedes or prevents semiconductor devices carried in pockets of the carrier tape substrate from adhering to adhesive on the cover tape.
Adhesive label with water-based release coating
An adhesive label with a water-based release coating and methods for applying the water-based release coating to the adhesive label are provided. The water-based release coating is a non-silicon based formulation having a fluorochemical. The water-based release coating can be applied in a single-pass process or a double-pass process when manufacturing the adhesive label.
Polarizing plate, image display apparatus comprising same, and adhesive composition for polarizing plate
The present specification relates to a polarizing plate comprising a polarizer; a protective layer directly formed on one surface of the polarizer; and an adhesive layer and a protective film consecutively provided on a surface of the polarizer on which the protective layer is not formed, wherein the adhesive layer is a resin layer comprising an active energy ray-curable composition comprising a first epoxy compound (A) comprising one or more alicyclic epoxy rings, and, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the first epoxy compound (A), a second epoxy compound (B) comprising one or more glycidyl ether groups in 110 parts by weight to 500 parts by weight and an oxetane compound (C) in 5 parts by weight to 85 parts by weight, or a cured material thereof, an image display device comprising the same, and an adhesive composition for a polarizing plate.
Adhesive articles comprising polylactic acid polymer film and method of making
A method of making an adhesive article is described comprising melt extruding a core film layer comprising a composition comprising at least 50% of a polylactic acid polymer. The method further comprises melt extruding an adhesive layer on a major surface of the core film layer such that regions of interdiffusion are present between the core film layer and adhesive layer. The adhesive layer may comprise C1-C10 (meth)acrylic acid or ester thereof, vinyl acetate, ethylene vinyl acetate, hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohol and combinations thereof. The adhesive layer may also be a pressure sensitive adhesive. The method further comprises melt extruding a release film layer on an opposing major surface of the core film layer. The layers are sequentially extruded or co-extruded and can be uniaxially or biaxially oriented. Articles comprising a core film layer comprising a composition comprising at least 50% of a polylactic acid polymer and an adhesive layer disposed on a major surface of the core layer are also described.
PREFORM ASSEMBLY
A tape comprising: a backing layer; and an epoxy resin layer adhered to a first surface of the backing layer in a spiral pattern, the first surface providing a first level of adherence to the epoxy resin layer so that when the epoxy resin layer is applied to a surface the backing layer can be removed from the epoxy resin layer.
Tapes for Insulation Jacketing
A multilayer tape assembly is described which can be used with insulation jacketing and particularly for self sealing lap (SSL) applications. The tape assembly includes two adhesive layers with associated carrier and release layers in conjunction with a differential release system. Various methods of use are also described.
