IMPARTING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL PROFILE INTO AN ADHESIVE SUBSTRATE
Methods and apparatus to form elevated profiles in mounted turn-up raised profile tapes for paper processing. In some embodiments, the raised profile tape may be a combination of a tape substrate coated on one side with a web grabbing adhesive and on the other side with a mounting adhesive and a release liner having a release liner substrate fully coated on a first side with a release layer and zone-coated on a second side with a release layer. In some embodiments, an elevated profile may be formed during the application of the raised profile tape with specialized apparatus.
Anisotropic Stretch Release Tape
A computing system includes a computing component connected to a housing with an anisotropic stretch release tape. The anisotropic stretch release tape includes a backing having an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface includes an upper PSA layer and the lower surface includes a lower PSA layer. The anisotropic stretch release tape includes a first removal force in a first direction that is at least 50% less than a second removal force in a second direction.
ELASTOMERIC TAPE WITH ENHANCED STRETCH CHARACTERISTICS
An elastomeric tape having a shape configuration that provides an enhanced longitudinal stretch characteristic is provided herein. The exemplary tape comprises a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first side and a second side opposite the first side where the first side comprises a series of alternating peaks and troughs and the second side comprises a series of alternating peaks and troughs.
Tape
A tape having an elongated shape includes a strength-reducing portion, a strength-maintaining portion, a and an opening prevention portion. The strength-reducing portion includes a first slit row and a second slit row parallel to the first slit row. Each slit row includes a plurality of slits and a plurality of non-slit portions that are portions in which the slits are not formed. The plurality of non-slit portions belonging to the first slit row and the plurality of non-slit portions belonging to the second slit row do not overlap each other in a transverse direction of the tape. The opening prevention portion closes ends of the plurality of slits. The strength-reducing portion and the strength-maintaining portion are aligned in the transverse direction of the tape.
ADHESIVE TAPE HAVING AN ANTI-SLIP SURFACE WHICH DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE ADHESIVE SURFACE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Adhesive tape that includes a support provided with a first or front face and a second or rear face, an adhesive layer that covers at least part of the rear face, a mixed layer that covers the front face. The mixed layer has two successive coatings that include an anti-slip coating and a anti-adherent coating, each of which can be carried out first or second, and which form an alternation of thin parts and thick parts. The coating carried out first covers a predetermined area of the surface of the front face, and the coating carried out secondly covers a predetermined area of the surface formed by the front face at least partially covered by the coating carried out first. The anti-slip coating covers an area comprised between 5 to 80% of the area of the front face with a first composition forming a layer having anti-slip properties, the layer having a minimum thickness of 4 m. The anti-adherent coating covers an area of between 20 to 100% of the area of the front face with a second composition forming a layer with anti-adherent properties, the layer with anti-adherent properties having a maximum thickness of 3 m.
LAMINATED FILM WITH BACKING LAYER, AND FILM ROLL OF SAME
A laminated film (10) includes a substrate layer (14) having a first surface (14a) and a second surface (14b) on opposite sides thereof, an adhesive layer (16) layered upon the first surface (14a), and a backing layer (12) that is releasably layered upon the second surface (14b) and supports the substrate layer (14) to be in a spread-out state. Fine projections (20) are provided on a surface (12a) of the backing layer (12) on a side opposite the substrate layer (14). The laminated film (10) can be wound with the adhesive layer (16) facing inward and tips of the fine projections (20) contacting the adhesive layer (16) to form a film roll.
ADHESIVE SHEET
A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet is provided, containing a substrate or a release material having thereon a resin layer including a resin part (X) containing as a main component a hydrocarbon resin having a carbon atom on a main chain of a structural unit, and a particle part (Y) consisting of fine particles containing silica particles, and at least a surface () of the resin layer being opposite to the side of the substrate or being opposite to the side which the release material is provided, having pressure sensitive adhesiveness, the resin layer containing a multilayer structure having a layer (X) and a layer (Y1) in this order in the thickness direction from the side of the surface (), in a measurement of an intensity ratio (Si/C) of a peak intensity (Si) derived from a silicon atom and a peak intensity (C) derived from a carbon atom with an energy dispersive X-ray analyzer in the thickness direction from the side of the surface () of the resin layer, the intensity ratio in the layer (X) being less than 0.10, and the intensity ratio in the layer (Y1) being 0.10 or more, the surface () having concave portions of irregular shapes.
Protective film with release surface
Films (10) for use in protecting surfaces are disclosed and comprise at least one release layer (14) and optionally an adhesion layer (12) and/or an intermediate layer, the release layer (14) having a plurality of three-dimensional protrusions (13) that are either formed integral with the release layer or are discrete polymer beads applied to the release layer.
Adhesive tape roll
Embodiments of the present techniques provide an adhesive tape roll that comprises a plurality of detachable segments. The detachable segments comprise a pull tab to help separate a protective liner layer, or backing layer/backing liner, from the adhesive tape at the point of use. Thus, a user may detach a segment from the roll, and then use the pull tab to separate the adhesive tape from the backing liner.
Polymeric tape with tear cuts
A polymeric tape comprises a facestock extending lengthwise, the facestock including a polymer. An adhesive layer is on a first surface of the facestock. Tear-cuts are formed into at least one longitudinal edge of the facestock and extending inwardly, the tear-cuts being provided all along the at least one longitudinal edge of the facestock.
