In repair applications, the adhesion-promoting compositions can enhance the adhesion of an overlying radiation-curable sulfur-containing sealant to a damaged or aged sulfur-containing sealant.

Provided herein are a fabric-based substrate and an organic electronic device including the same. The fabric-based substrate includes a fabric layer having an upper surface and a lower surface. A plurality of electrodes are disposed on the upper surface of the fabric layer. An adhesive layer is provided on the upper surface and the lower surface of the fabric layer and filled at least some empty regions between the electrodes and the fabric layer, between the electrodes, and at least some pores in the fabric layer. A self-healing polymer layer is disposed on the adhesive layer located on the lower surface of the fabric layer.
POLYCARBONATE DIOL AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF, AND POLYURETHANE AND ACTIVE ENERGY RAY-CURABLE POLYMER COMPOSITION BOTH FORMED USING SAME
The present invention provides a novel polycarbonate diol and a polyurethane using the polycarbonate diol as raw materials. The novel polycarbonate diol produces polycarbonate diol-based polyurethane which has a high degree of hardness, superior abrasion resistance, and superior hydrophilicity, and is usable for an application such as a paint, a coating agent, a synthetic leather, an artificial leather, and a highly-functional elastomers, or the like. The present invention also provides an active-energy radiation curable polymer composition giving a cured film having a superior contamination resistance and high degree of hardness. The present invention is obtained, for example, by reacting specific two types of diols with diester carbonate in the presence of a transesterification catalyst being a compound using a metal of Group 1 or 2 on the periodic table. The present invention provides a polycarbonate diol wherein the metal content of the transesterification catalyst is 100 weight ppm or less, a polyurethane obtainable by using this polycarbonate diol and an active-energy radiation curable polymer composition containing the urethane(meth)acrylate oligomer which is obtained from the polycarbonate diol.
POLYCARBONATE DIOL AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF, AND POLYURETHANE AND ACTIVE ENERGY RAY-CURABLE POLYMER COMPOSITION BOTH FORMED USING SAME
The present invention provides a novel polycarbonate diol and a polyurethane using the polycarbonate diol as raw materials. The novel polycarbonate diol produces polycarbonate diol-based polyurethane which has a high degree of hardness, superior abrasion resistance, and superior hydrophilicity, and is usable for an application such as a paint, a coating agent, a synthetic leather, an artificial leather, and a highly-functional elastomers, or the like. The present invention also provides an active-energy radiation curable polymer composition giving a cured film having a superior contamination resistance and high degree of hardness. The present invention is obtained, for example, by reacting specific two types of diols with diester carbonate in the presence of a transesterification catalyst being a compound using a metal of Group 1 or 2 on the periodic table. The present invention provides a polycarbonate diol wherein the metal content of the transesterification catalyst is 100 weight ppm or less, a polyurethane obtainable by using this polycarbonate diol and an active-energy radiation curable polymer composition containing the urethane(meth)acrylate oligomer which is obtained from the polycarbonate diol.
Polyurethane adhesives for bonding low surface energy films
The present invention relates to a polyurethane laminating adhesives, methods for producing a multilayer laminate by laminating at least two films with a polyurethane laminating adhesive, and multilayer laminates obtainable by these methods wherein the polyurethane laminating adhesive comprises an NCO-terminated polyurethane prepolymer obtainable by reacting a polyol mixture comprising: 0.1 to 20.0 wt % relative to the total weight of the polyol mixture of at least one polybutadiene polyol; and 5.0 to 99.9 wt % relative to the total weight of the polyol mixture of at least one polyether polyol, wherein the at least one polyether polyol comprises at least one polyether polyol with a number average molecular weight M.sub.n in the range of >1000 g/mol to 10000 g/mol; with at least one polyisocyanate, wherein the at least one polyisocyanate is used in an amount such that the isocyanate groups are present in molar excess relative to the hydroxyl groups of the polyol mixture. Also encompassed are the use of the described adhesives for laminating two or more films, and the multilayer laminates obtainable by the described methods.
Polyurethane adhesives for bonding low surface energy films
The present invention relates to a polyurethane laminating adhesives, methods for producing a multilayer laminate by laminating at least two films with a polyurethane laminating adhesive, and multilayer laminates obtainable by these methods wherein the polyurethane laminating adhesive comprises an NCO-terminated polyurethane prepolymer obtainable by reacting a polyol mixture comprising: 0.1 to 20.0 wt % relative to the total weight of the polyol mixture of at least one polybutadiene polyol; and 5.0 to 99.9 wt % relative to the total weight of the polyol mixture of at least one polyether polyol, wherein the at least one polyether polyol comprises at least one polyether polyol with a number average molecular weight M.sub.n in the range of >1000 g/mol to 10000 g/mol; with at least one polyisocyanate, wherein the at least one polyisocyanate is used in an amount such that the isocyanate groups are present in molar excess relative to the hydroxyl groups of the polyol mixture. Also encompassed are the use of the described adhesives for laminating two or more films, and the multilayer laminates obtainable by the described methods.

An adhesive resin and an adhesive composition for an optical member including the same is provided. The adhesive resin includes an acrylic copolymer formed by polymerizing a monomer mixture including a monomer represented by [Formula 1], a (meth)acrylic monomer having a cross-linkable functional group, and an alkyl (meth)acrylate-based monomer.
AZIDO-ALKYNE CLICK AND OXYSILANE HYBRID COMPOSITIONS
The present invention provides alternative polyurethane composition comprising the reaction product of an azidated polyol and a poly(alkynyl carbamate) prepolymer, wherein the poly(alkynyl carbamate) prepolymer comprises the reaction product of a polyisocyanate, an alkynol, and an oxysilane. The reaction of the polyol and the prepolymer may occur in the presence of a catalyst or at a temperature of from 20° C. to 120° C. The inventive oxysilane and azido-alkyne hybrid click formulations provide comparable performance, and in some cases better performance, to/than urethane and azido-alkyne control click formulations in terms of pencil hardness, MEK double rubs, and glass transition temperature. The inventive alternative polyurethane compositions may be used to provide coatings, adhesives, sealants, films, elastomers, castings, and composites.
POLYURETHANE POLYMERS CURED VIA AZIDO-ALKYNE CYCLOADDITION AT AMBIENT OR MILD CURING CONDITIONS
An alternative polyurethane composition is provided which comprises a reaction product of an azidated polyol and a poly(alkynyl carbamate) prepolymer reacted at a temperature of from 20° C. to 120° C., wherein the poly(alkynyl carbamate) prepolymer comprises a reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a stoichiometric equivalent of an alkynol of the formula (I),
HC≡C—R.sup.1R.sup.2—OH (I),
and wherein R.sup.1 is an electron-withdrawing group selected from the group consisting of carbonyl, ester, amide, and urethane and R.sup.2 is a linear or branched alkyl chain having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms. The inventive alternative polyurethane composition position may be used to provide adhesives, sealants, films, elastomers, castings, foams, and composites.
ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE FOR ATTACHING SOLAR CELLS
The present invention relates to an electrically conductive composition comprising a) a resin selected from the group consisting of epoxy (meth)acrylate, (poly)ester (meth)acrylate, urethane (meth)acrylate, silicone (meth)acrylate, poly(iso)butylene (meth)acrylate, (poly)isoprene (meth)acrylate, polybutylene (meth)acrylate and mixtures thereof; b) an acrylic monomer; c) an electrically conductive filler; and d) a curing agent. The composition is particularly suitable for use in a solar cell and/or a photovoltaic module, especially in the photovoltaic module, wherein the solar cells are shingled.
