Sticky cleaner

Provided is a sticky cleaner whose adhesive face can be easily renewed and whish is less susceptible to roll-loosening. The sticky cleaner provided by this invention comprises a PSA tape having an adhesive face on the first face of a substrate. The PSA tape forms a PSA tape roll wound with the adhesive face on the outside. On the first face of the substrate, the PSA tape comprises a first layer formed of a PSA and a second layer formed of an acrylic viscoelastic material. The adhesive face comprises first sections where the first layer is exposed and second sections where the second layer is exposed. The second sections protrude further out of the PSA tape roll relative to the first sections. The PSA tape roll shows an unwinding force F.sub.0 at 0 C. and an unwinding force F.sub.30 at 30 C.

Method for preparing structured adhesive articles

Methods of forming laminating adhesive articles include providing a multi-layer article, and a tool with a structured surface. The multi-layer articles include a substrate, an adhesive layer, and a liner. The multi-layer article is placed between the structured surface of the tool and a support surface that is hard and the tool is embossed against the liner by applying pressure or pressure/heat. The embossing causes the tool structures to distort the liner and the adhesive layer, and causes permanent topological changes in a portion of the adhesive layer, but does not distort the substrate. The distortion in the liner is retained upon release of the applied pressure. The portions of topologically changed adhesive can form convex structures that are permanent. Upon removal of the liner from the adhesive layer, the concave structures on the adhesive layer are unstable, but the convex structures are stable.

Frictional enhancement of mating surfaces of power cable installed in coiled tubing

A string of coiled tubing for an electrical submersible well pump has insulated power conductors encased in an elastomeric jacket within the coiled tubing. A textured interface between the jacket and the inner side wall of the coiled tubing enhances frictional engagement between the jacket and the coiled tubing. The textured interface may be formed on the inner side wall of the coiled tubing and consist of a roughened or knurled surface. A tape may be wrapped helically around the jacket, the tape having an outer side with a textured surface in contact with the inner side wall of the coiled tubing. The textured interface may extend continuously for the length of the coiled tubing.

The PSA sheet comprises a substrate film and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate film. The PSA layer has a thickness of 20 m or less. The PSA sheet further comprises a coating layer that partially covers the PSA layer surface. The coating layer has a thickness less than 3 m.

Adhesive member to be adhesively fixed through pressure

Provided is an adhesive member to be adhesively fixed through pressure which has both position adjustability and adhesiveness and is capable of producing a sufficient adhesive strength in addition to the position adjustability. The adhesive member comprises a support, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one surface of the support, and a plurality of protrusion elements arranged, in spaced-apart relation to each other, on a principal surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on a side opposite to the support. Each of the protrusion elements is composed of an aggregation of a plurality of cohesive particles, wherein the adhesive member has a frictional force of 0.4 N/cm.sup.2 or less, with respect to a stainless steel plate serving as an adherend, as measured when the protrusion elements are in contact with a surface of the adherend, and a shear adhesive strength of 45 N/cm.sup.2 or more.

Protective glass film

A glass protective film includes a base film formed by melting a weak adhesive polymer to be adhered to a glass plate by weak adhesion; a first surface of the base film prepared into a weak adhesive surface, which is a mirror surface; and a second surface thereof prepared into a non-adhesive surface which is a rough bead surface. Beads for preparing the rough bead surface are hexagonal, rectangular or triangular beads or ball beads prepared by cutting a film; and the ceiling reach rate of the beads of the rough bead surface is 30% or more.

AN ADHESIVE MATERIAL HAVING MICROSTRUCTURES AND PERMEATION-RESISTENT PROPERTIES

An adhesive material providing permeation-resistant characteristics, wherein the material comprises a surface having a plurality of microstructures interspersed with at least one ridge. The ridge is adapted to make continuous contact with a mating surface. In one embodiment, the ridge is linear. In an alternative embodiment, the ridge has a square pattern forming a mesh on the surface.
