Each of the radicals R.sup.2 comprises a group that can be eliminated with water, b is 1, 2 or 3, and a is 3−b. The polymer material further includes at least one condensation catalyst. Further, the polymer material is chemically precrosslinked and further crosslinkable with moisture. In addition, the polymer material is configured for use as a layer body that can be applied to a substrate. The polymer material of this kind can also be used for producing permanent bonds.

ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS WITH POLYESTERS COMPRISING 2,2,4,4-TETRAALKYL-1,3-CYCLOBUTANEDIOL

This invention relates to adhesive compositions comprising a polyester polyol that includes residues of at least one 2, 2, 4, 4-tetraalkylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol, including, for example, 2, 2, 4, 4-tetramethylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol (TMCD). Adhesive compositions as described herein exhibit enhanced properties as compared to conventional adhesive compositions, and may be suitable for a wide variety of end use applications, including, flexible packaging, woodworking, automotive uses, and electronics.

MOISTURE-CURING POLYURETHANE COMPOSITION

A moisture-curing polyurethane composition including: at least one isocyanate-functional polymer with a content of monomeric isophorone diisocyanate of below 0.5 weight-%, obtained from the reaction of isophorone diisocyanate and at least one polyol, and at least one aldimine of formula (I). The composition has a low toxicity, good shelf life stability and cures quickly to an elastic material of low surface tack and good mechanical properties, particularly in terms of high tensile strength and modulus of elasticity at high elongation. It enables coatings, sealants and adhesives with excellent stability under outdoor weathering conditions and high UV load. The aldimine of formula (I) allows to overcome the drawbacks caused by the removal of most of the monomeric isophorone diisocyanate in terms of cure speed, surface tackiness and final strength of such compositions.

One-component hot melt polyurethane adhesive

One-component, moisture-curable polyurethane adhesives exhibit excellent handling strength before being fully cured, and excellent creep properties after curing. The adhesives include an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer made from polyols that include a crystalline polyester and hydroquinone bis (2-hydroxyethyl) ether, and a polyoxazolidine compound.
