A shielded seating assembly configured to shield a user from projectiles includes a seat. A brace is coupled to a bottom of the seat. The brace is configured to support the seat in a substantially horizontal position above a surface upon which the brace is positioned. A panel is coupled to is the seat and is configured to extend upwardly from the seat and down to the surface upon which the brace is positioned. The panel is configured to shield the user positioned on the seat from projectiles, such as a ball, directed at the panel.

A portable elevating seat for assisting a person into and out of a seating includes a central telescoping unit with a seating member mounted thereon. Preferably, the seat further includes a pneumatic pump and at least one pressure relief valve in fluid communication with the central telescoping unit for providing a flow of air into and out of the central telescoping unit. The seat includes a power source being in electronic communication with the pneumatic pump. The seat further includes a control unit in electronic communication with the pneumatic pump and the power source for actuating the seat between a raised and a lowered position. As the pneumatic pump is actuated by the control unit, air flows into the central telescoping unit, thus extending the central telescoping unit and lifting the seating member to a desired height.

A portable elevating seat for assisting a person into and out of a seating includes a central telescoping unit with a seating member mounted thereon. A leaning chair can include a base defining a lower surface that rests on a floor, the base including a support surface; a shaft coupled to the base, the shaft defining a first end and a second end; a flexible mount coupling the first end of the shaft to the base, the shaft extending through the mount; a pivot pin located underneath the mount, the first end of the shaft resting on the pivot pin, and being configured to be housed inside the mount, the pivot pin being configured to pivot on the support surface; and a user support member coupled to the second end of the shaft.

An adjustable seating solution that enables users to adjust several seating characteristics is disclosed. In a relatively low sitting position, the disclosed device provides some support if the user leans back, but predominately supports the user's weight and requires the user to engage core muscles to maintain good posture. The disclosed apparatus enables the user to adjust the seat upward to a leaning position. A platform extends forward under the user's feet to ensure that when the user leans against the seat, the apparatus remains stable. The apparatus enables the seat portion to be tilted, such that varying contours can be selected to engage the user's body in a desired way. At low heights, the user can tilt the seat portion forward to require the user to further engage core muscles while seated. At higher heights, the user can customize the contour of the seat that engages the user's body.

A selected one of the arms engages the shower and the selected arm inhibits the chair from rotating about the post. A harness is removably coupled to the chair and the harness may be worn by the user thereby facilitating the user to be secured to the chair.

A bathing assistance assembly includes a chair that may be removably positioned within a shower. The chair may support a user thereby facilitating the user to bathe. The chair includes a post and the post has an adjustable height. The post includes a plurality arms that are movably coupled to the post. A selected one of the arms engages the shower and the selected arm inhibits the chair from rotating about the post. A harness is removably coupled to the chair and the harness may be worn by the user thereby facilitating the user to be secured to the chair.
