EPOXY PATCH HAVING IMPROVED ADHESION CHARACTERISTICS
A device comprising an adhesive material and a fiberglass mesh located in direct planar contact with the adhesive material. The adhesive material is tacky in its green state and includes an epoxy, an epoxidized cashew nut shell oil, and at least about 20% by weight of a component containing a core shell polymer material to improve the adhesion capability to surfaces that are contaminated and/or exposed to high pressure spraying or chemical treatments, heat and humidity.
LAMINATE, ADHESIVE KIT, LAMINATED STRUCTURE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF, AND CONTACT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
A laminate comprising a substrate layer; a contact adhesive layer comprising a contact adhesive agent having at least one of chloroprene rubber or acrylic copolymers, as well as microspheres having an average particle size of 0.5 μm or greater in the contact adhesive layer, wherein the contact adhesive layer contains from 5 parts by mass to 500 parts by mass of the microspheres per 100 parts by mass of the contact adhesive agent, and the contact adhesive layer has a plurality of protruding portions because of the the microspheres.
STRUCTURAL BONDING TAPE WITH EPOXIDE MICROCAPSULES
Curable pressure sensitive adhesive tapes comprise: a) a pressure sensitive adhesive polymer; b) particles of encapsulated first epoxy resin (microcapsules) mixed into the pressure sensitive adhesive polymer; and c) a first epoxy curative. In some embodiments, the first epoxy curative is blended into the pressure sensitive adhesive. In other embodiments, the first epoxy curative is the pressure sensitive adhesive polymer. In some embodiments, the first epoxy curative may be an adduct of a second epoxy curative and a second epoxy resin in a ratio of at least 2:1 second epoxy curative to second epoxy resin. The particles of encapsulated first epoxy resin comprise a core of first epoxy resin within a shell comprising an organic polymer, and optionally a layer of oil-in-water Pickering emulsifier particles borne on a surface of the shells. Typically, the tape may be cured to form a structural bond between adherends.
Curable Adhesive Sheet and Production Method of Curable Adhesive Sheet
The invention relates to a curable adhesive sheet which has an adhesive layer formed from an adhesive composition containing an epoxy resin, a latent curing agent and a gelling agent and in which the latent curing agent has a reaction initiation temperature of 45° C. or higher and 120° C. or lower.
REPEELABLE ADHESIVE INCLUDING PHOTOCURABLE ADHESIVE AND HEAT FOAMING AGENT AND REPEELABLE ADHESIVE TAPE INCLUDING THE SAME
A repeelable adhesive including a photocurable adhesive and a heat foaming agent and a repeelable adhesive tape including the repeelable adhesive are disclosed. The repeelable adhesive maintains excellent adhesion, but easily peels off from an adherend after ultraviolet (UV) irradiation and heating.
Epoxy based reinforcing patches having improved damping loss factor
A reinforcing sheet including one or more layers of a reinforcing material, and a thermosetting adhesive associated with the reinforcing material, wherein the thermosetting adhesive includes a curing agent, and an epoxy-modified dimerized fatty acid combined with an epoxy terminated polyurethane interpenetrating network.
Filler disposition film
A filler disposition film that can use a commercially procurable filler material having good particle diameter uniformity, enables high positional precision of the filler disposition, can support even an increase in the surface area, and has a prescribed filler regularly disposed in a long resin film. Moreover, the rate of consistency of disposition of the filler in the filler disposition film in rectangular areas of a prescribed size having a length of 1000 times or more the average particle diameter of the prescribed filler, and a width of 0.2 mm or greater is 90% or greater. Such a rectangular area has a long-side direction that is substantially parallel to the long-side direction of the filler disposition film, and a widthwise direction that is substantially parallel to a short-side direction of the filler disposition film. The average particle diameter of the regularly disposed filler is from 0.4 μm to 100 μm.
READILY ADHESIVE POLYESTER FILM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
This invention provides a readily adhesive polyester film that has fewer flaws and in which no appearance defects occur due to tight winding during the storage of rolled products, and a method for efficiently producing the readily adhesive polyester film. More specifically, this invention provides a readily adhesive polyester film comprising a polyester film as a base film and a readily adhesive layer on at least one side of the base film, wherein the base film contains particles with an average particle diameter of 0.1-2 μm or more in an amount of 1 mass % or less based on the mass of the base film, and the readily adhesive layer is a cured product of a composition comprising a copolymerized polyester resin (A), a blocked isocyanate group-containing urethane resin (B), and a silicone surfactant (C). This invention also provides a method for producing a readily adhesive polyester film.
CONDUCTIVE DOUBLE-SIDED PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE STRIP
A double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive strip is provided that includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive strip comprising two opposing strip surfaces configured for bonding. At least one conductive component connects the two opposing strip surfaces configured for bonding in the z-direction. Also provided is a component and/or a composite, which is bonded with the conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive strip. Further, uses are provided of the conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive strip.
