The seat connectors and the back connectors include an upper bulbous member, a lower bulbous member, and a web disposed therebetween. The panels include first and second spaced apart channels therein with cutouts extending from the channels and opening onto a surface of the seat panels. The channels of the seat panels are receivable on t upper bulbous members of the spaced apart seat connectors to form a seat, and the channels of the back panels are receivable on the front bulbous members of the spaced apart back connectors to form a back.

A chair is disclosed herein of the kind that is shipped disassembled in a compact shipping package to be assembled by the end user without the use of tools. The chair has a pair of user actuated height and tilt control paddles by which the elevation of the seat and the tilt of the seat and back of the chair can be adjusted relative to the base which holds the seat above the ground. In one embodiment, the height and tilt control paddles are removably attached to the seat at respective paddle receivers connected to the bottom of the seat. In another embodiment, the height and tilt control paddles are removably received by respective paddle cavities formed in the arms of the chair. By removing the paddles from their paddle receivers or paddle cavities, the parts of the disassembled chair may be more efficiently packaged for shipment.

The present disclosure has the beneficial effects of being convenient to assemble and highly firm and stable after being assembled.

In the assembled state of the sofa, the seat cushion and the seat back are held between the arm panels, and the zippered flap is attached to both the seat back and the seat cushion. The seat back does not contact the seat cushion in the assembled state of the sofa. In the compact state of the sofa, the seat back, the seat cushion and the arm panels are not attached to one another. Instead, the arm panels fit inside a compartment under the seat cushion. The flap is not attached to both the seat back and the seat cushion in the compact state of the sofa. In the compact state, the sofa is contained in a packing box whose width is only slightly greater than the depth of the seat cushion.
