WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A waterproofing membrane system for waterproofing a concrete substrate includes a first layer comprising a thermoplastic elastomeric waterproof material using advanced polymerization and squeeze technology. The second layer comprises a carrier sheet that comprises a fabric. The third layer comprises an adhesive to provide bonding of the first layer with a concrete substrate upon contact. In addition, the third layer may reduce migration of water and vapor traveling between the first layer and the concrete substrate. In some examples, the waterproofing membrane system also includes a fourth layer to provide mechanical protection and ease of handling for the first layer, the second layer, and the third layer. In some examples, the first layer comprises a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), the fabric comprises polypropylene or polyethylene, the adhesive comprises a C5 petroleum resin, and the fourth layer is a protective coating comprising quartz sand (SiO2) having a reflectivity of 4.5%.
ALL-AROMATIC LIQUID-CRYSTALLINE HOMO-POLYIMIDES WITH AROMATIC ENDGROUPS AND CROSSLINKED PRODUCTS THEREFROM
A family of low-molecular-weight, main-chain thermotropic liquid-crystalline polyimides (TLC-PI) that are crosslinkable is disclosed. These all-aromatic TLC-PI are derived from (i) wholly aromatic and flexible diamine monomers, in which the linkage between the two aniline-ends contains a relatively high heat-tolerant but flexible chain constituted by two or more units of 1,4-phenoxy or 1,3-phenoxy or in combinations of both. Processes of making and using such all-aromatic TLC-PI is also provided.

JEWELRY HAVING DRUZY OR GEODE EFFECT AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A method of manufacturing an article of jewelry with a druzy or geode effect, the method including: forming an adhesion mixture by mixing metal particles with a silica, shell, and/or clay with polymer, optionally in a liquid to form an adhesion paste; applying the adhesion mixture to an article of jewelry; applying a plurality of gemstones to the applied adhesion mixture to form a gemstone layer; melting the adhesion mixture without significantly melting the article of jewelry; and cooling the adhesion mixture to bond the gemstone layer to the article of jewelry.
Process for manufacturing a bi-material shaft
A process for manufacturing a putter with a bi-material shaft is disclosed herein. The putter comprises a putter head, the bi-material shaft, a mass member and a grip. The bi-material shaft comprises a body with a tip end and a butt end. The body comprises a metal section extending from the tip end to a connection point, and a composite section extending from the butt end to the connection point. The mass member is positioned within an opening at the butt end of the shaft. Mass from the shaft is transferred to the club head and the mass member in the butt end of the shaft.
Composition comprising maleimide pre-polymerized resin
The present invention provides a resin composition comprising maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin and article made therefrom. The resin composition comprises: 100 weight parts of vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin; 35 to 45 weight parts of bis(vinylphenyl)ethane; and 30 to 60 weight parts of maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin; wherein the maleimide-containing pre-polymerized resin is obtained by pre-polymerization of aromatic maleimide resin and long chain maleimide resin. The articles made from the resin composition improve at least one characteristic of glass transition temperature variation, copper foil peeling strength, percentage of thermal expansion, coefficient of thermal expansion and surface appearance.
PHYSICAL PRETREATMENT FOR FILAMENT FIXATION
Method for producing an adhesive tape including the steps of providing an adhesive layer to at least one side of a liner or a carrier film and treating at least one filament and/or the adhesive layer with a plasma, and introducing the at least one filament into the adhesive layer.
Classifying comparators based on comparator offsets
Various embodiments relate to classifying comparators based on comparator offsets. A method may include applying, via a strobe, a first voltage to each of a first input and a second input of a comparator to generate a number of output signals from the comparator, wherein each output signal has one of a first polarity and a second polarity. The method may further include in response to each of the number of output signals being the first polarity, applying, via a strobe, an external offset voltage having the second polarity to the comparator to generate a second number of output signals. Further, the method may include in response to each of the second number of output signals being the same polarity, identifying the comparator as a reliable comparator.
ADHESIVE FILM, ADHESIVE SYSTEM, AND RELATED PROCESSES
An adhesive film includes a first (meth)acrylate copolymer containing at least 55 weight percent (wt. %) of linear or branched alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer units, from 15 to 40 wt. % of (meth)acrylic acid monomer units, and 0.1 to 5 wt. % of monomer units of a crosslinking monomer having more than one (meth)acrylate group. If the first (meth)acrylate copolymer comprises 15 wt. % (meth)acrylic acid monomer units, the first (meth)acrylate copolymer comprises at least five wt. % monomer units of a high T.sub.g monomer. The adhesive film comprises not more than five wt. % of a further (meth)acrylate copolymer comprising from 0.1 to 15 wt. % of (meth)acrylic acid monomer units. The adhesive film can be a multilayer adhesive assembly including a first layer of the first (meth)acrylate copolymer and a second adhesive layer adjacent to the first layer. A process for making and a system including the adhesive film and a primer are also described.
