Pressure-sensitive adhesive strip for moisture-insensitive peelable adhesive bonds
10040975 · 2018-08-07 · ·

A method of separating two substrates bonded with a redetachable, at least single-sidedly pressure-sensitive adhesive strip composed at least of a) a core layer which has a breaking extension of at least 300%, b) an outer carrier layer which has a breaking extension of not more than 120% and which at least sectionally is connected to the core layer such that it separates from the core layer when the latter is extensionally stretched, and c) a first adhesive layer which is applied at least sectionally to the side of the outer carrier layer that is opposite the side connected to the core layer, in which the core layer is stretched in the direction of the bond plane, starting from a region which has been made nonadhesive, until the core layer releases from at least one of the outer carrier layers so that the two substrates are separated from one another.

Adhesive tape and solar assembly and article made thereof

The invention provides a frameless photo-energy assembly including a photo-energy converter, wherein an edge of the photo-energy converter is sealed by an adhesive tape, comprising an adhering layer for adhesion and cushioning; and an aging-resistant protective layer. The adhering layer is used to contact the edge of an article and comprises: a substrate layer; optionally, a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer situated at both sides of the substrate layer oppositely, wherein the first adhesive layer being used to be contact with the article. The aging-resistant protective layer is situated on the adhering layer, which comprises: an optional primer layer, which is situated on the adhering layer; and a film layer, which is situated on either the primer layer or the substrate or the second adhesive layer. The invention further provides an adhesive tape for sealing an edge of an article and an article made of the assembly.

ARTICLE PROVIDED WITH ADHESIVE LAYER AND RELEASE LAYER

An article 10 is provided with an adhesive layer 14 that includes an adhesive, a release layer 12 that is stacked on the adhesive layer 14, and an air layer 16 that is interposed between the adhesive layer 14 and the release layer 12. On a surface 12a of the release layer 12 that opposes the adhesive layer 14, microprotrusions 20 that contact the adhesive layer 14 with tips 20a are provided. The microprotrusions 20 are provided with a wall-shaped portion 22 having a shape that at least partially surrounds the air layer 16 between the adhesive layer 14 and the release layer 12. The wall-shaped portion 22 protects a main portion 14a of the adhesive layer 14 that is adjacent to the air layer 16 from contamination. By selecting a shape, dimensions, and the like of the micro protrusions 20, a release force of the release layer 12 can be adjusted to a desired range.
