APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A TEMPERATURE RELEASED ADHESIVE STRUCTURE FOR USE WITH BANDAGES
An adhesive article that remains securely bonded to a substrate until a stimuli is applied. The article may be embodied as an adhesive tape, a bandage, or as other articles. The stimuli may be a change in temperature or application of a reduction that causes a structure within the article to break, creak, or otherwise disrupt to expose the adhesive to a solvent, such as via a difference in Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) or by exposing the article to a glass transition temperature.
BACKSHEET FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES COMPRISING AN ALIPHATIC POLYAMIDE
The present invention relates to a backsheet for photovoltaic modules comprising a polymeric layer comprising an aliphatic polyamide comprising 1,10-decanedioic acid. Examples of such aliphatic polyamides are polyamide 4,10, polyamide 5,10 or polyamide 6,10. Preferably polyamide 4,10 is present in the rear layer of the backsheet. A polyolefin layer is preferably present in the core layer of the backsheet. It is however also possible that the polyamide is present in the core layer and polyolefin is present in the rear layer of the backsheet. The polyolefin is preferably chosen from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene or ethylene-propylene copolymers. More preferably the polyolefin is polypropylene. The backsheet preferably comprises at least a further polymeric layer comprising a polymer selected from the group consisting of an optionally functionalized polyolefin such as a maleic anhydride functionalized polypropylene homo or copolymer. The present invention further relates to a photovoltaic module containing essentially, in order of position from the front-sun facing side to the back non-sun-facing side, a transparent pane, a front encapsulant layer, a solar cell layer comprised of one or more electrically interconnected solar cells, a back encapsulant layer and the back-sheet according to the present invention.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS WITH POLYESTERS COMPRISING 2,2,4,4-TETRAALKYL-1,3-CYCLOBUTANEDIOL AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Adhesive compositions comprise a polyester polyol that includes residues of at least one 2, 2, 4, 4-tetraalkylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol, including, for example, 2, 2, 4, 4-tetramethylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol (TMCD). Adhesive compositions as described herein exhibit enhanced properties as compared to conventional adhesive compositions, and may be suitable for a wide variety of end use applications, including, flexible packaging, woodworking, automotive uses, and electronics.
Hot Melt Adhesive for Polyolefin Films
A hot-melt adhesive composition is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive comprises a) 25 to 95 wt %, preferably 50 to 85 wt % of at least one polyolefin-based polymer; b) 1 to 75 wt %, preferably 1 to 40 wt % of at least one tackifying resin; c) 0 to 15 wt % of at least one plasticizer; and d) 0 to 30 wt % of at least one additive and/or adjuvant selected from among stabilizers, adhesion promoters, fillers or pigments, waxes, and/or other polymers or combinations thereof,
characterized in that the at least one polyolefin-based polymer is a mixture of: a1) at least one first polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of <10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer, and a2) at least one second polyolefin-based polymer with a molecular weight M.sub.n of >10,000 g/mol in a quantity of 20 to 80 wt % with respect to the total quantity of polyolefin-based polymer. The adhesive is particularly useful for gluing polyolefin films, woven fabrics, or nonwoven fabrics. Also, methods for manufacturing packaging and fabric with the hot-melt adhesive above are disclosed.
Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition and multi-layer structure comprising thereof
The present disclosure provides ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin compositions, and multilayer structure comprising the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin compositions with uniform thickness.
TRANSPARENT PROTECTIVE LAYER AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SAME
A transparent protective layer and an electronic device including a transparent protective layer are provided. The transparent protective layer includes a first transparent plate having a first surface facing in a first direction and a second surface facing in a second direction opposite to the first direction; and an adhesive layer disposed on the second surface of the first transparent plate. The adhesive layer includes a first adhesive layer having a first adhesive force, and a second adhesive layer having a second adhesive force, which is less than the first adhesive force.
Wash-off label, a combination of a wash-off label and an item
The invention relates to a wash-off label structure and an adhesive layer comprising a pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive layer sensitive to the washing conditions. According to an embodiment the adhesive layer comprises an acrylate composition curable with ultraviolet radiation and at least one modifier selected from a tackifier, a plasticizer and a filler, and wherein the peel adhesion from the labelled surface at 50-80° C. in alkaline aqueous solution of at least 30% less than the peel adhesion at room temperature of 23° C.±2° C. and relative humidity of 50%±5%. The invention further relates to a use of the label for recyclable or reusable packages, and a combination of a package and a wash-off label.
