An article of furniture including a bottom frame, a plurality of panels forming an outer surface of the article of furniture, and a plurality of struts for securing the panels in place. The bottom frame has an outer periphery which is securable to at least some of the panels. The bottom frame is configured for placement on a floor surface. Further, each strut has an elongated member configured for securement to at least two adjacent panels which are oriented in different planes from one another. The adjacent panels are secured to the respective struts with removable fasteners.

Embodiments of the invention may include a ready-to-assemble chair, comprising a seat assembly, wherein said seat assembly comprises a top seat surface, at least three sides, and an underside, wherein the underside has an internal cavity defined by the at least three sides; a seat back assembly, wherein said seat back assembly is configured to fit substantially within the internal cavity of the underside of the seat assembly in a flat orientation when said chair is disassembled; and at least three legs. Some aspects of the present invention may include a method of assembly of a ready-to-assemble chair, as well as methods of packaging the same.

An electronic furniture assembly of the present invention comprises: (i) a furniture assembly comprising: (A) a base (e.g., a seat portion), (B) at least one transverse member (e.g., a side, armrest or backrest), and (C) a coupler for selectively coupling the base to the transverse member; (ii) an electrical hub for providing electrical power to the speakers, the hub configured to selectively reside within the furniture assembly; and (iii) a speaker system mounted within one or more portions of the furniture assembly. The speaker system comprises one or more speakers mounted within the base and transverse member, hiding the speakers therein, and saving space within a home or office, using the same footprint for both furniture and speakers, providing a high fidelity surround sound system.

Embodiments of chair systems incorporating trekking poles include a low-back design employing fixed-length trekking poles, and a high-back design employing adjustable-length trekking poles that allow for adjusting the recline angle of the chair. The chair system generally includes a tubular frame that releasably engages a flexible seat. The tubular frame includes a front hub and a rear hub spaced one from the other by a cross bar, plus front and rear footings which stabilize the chair system on the ground or undersurface. A V-shaped upper support extending from the front hub supports and holds open the leg portion of the flexible seat, while the trekking poles are releasably engaged with and extend upwardly from the rear hub to support, and hold open and upright the back portion of the flexible seat.

A modular furniture assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly includes a base, an upright member, and one or more connector plates configured to selectively couple a bottom portion of the base to a bottom portion of the upright member. The base and the upright member are sized and configured in a particular defined spatial relationship where the length (X) of the base is substantially equal to the sum of the width (Y) of the base and two times a dimension (Z) which is the width (Z.sub.1) of the upright member or a separation distance (Z.sub.2) between adjacent receiving holes of the base and upright member. The invention relates to a detachable assembled lounge furniture, comprising a plurality of components: a component A, a component B, a component C, a component D, a component E, a component F, a component G, a component H, a component I, a component J, a component K, a component L, and a component M, which are formed into various combinations to constitute various lounge furniture. Advantages. 1. A detachable assembled lounge furniture is provided, which is designed to be divided into various components. The user can combine, add and remove the components according to his/her own needs to form a variety of furniture with different structures, models and sizes, so as to satisfy the user's needs to the maximum extent. 2. When making a move, the furniture can be disassembled into single components to move, so as to reduce the difficulty of moving up and down stairs.

This particular invention accomplishes the objective of flat small packing by means of having a flap on the bottom of the sofa base pieces that can fasten and enclose a hollow space inside of the base. Sofa backs, cushions, tools and parts all can be placed inside of the sofa base during storage and shipping inside of a box optimally made of cardboard. The box only needs to be big enough to contain the base piece. The sofa back can then be attached to the seat frame by metal threaded rods. The arms can be attached to the sides using the hardware and the cushions put in place. Supporting legs are screwed onto the bottom by hand and the sofa is complete.

A seating furniture support arrangement (6) for a seat or a backrest, suitable, e.g., for a sofa, comprises a first (8) and a second (10; 12) load-carrying longitudinal beam, each being mountable to a seating furniture frame comprising one or more parts; an elastic sheet (16; 14); and a mechanism for stretching the elastic sheet (16; 14) between the first longitudinal beam (8) and the second longitudinal beam (10; 12). The mechanism comprises a first longitudinal beam (8) pivotable on the frame. The elastic sheet (16; 14), with the said seating furniture support arrangement (6) in installed position, is connected to the first longitudinal beam (8) in such a way that the first longitudinal beam (8) pivoting with respect to the frame, in response to an application of an external force or torque, stretches the elastic sheet (16; 14), the external force or torque working against the tension force of the elastic sheet (16; 14) until a point of maximum tension is reached, past which point of maximum tension the tension force facilitates further pivoting of said first longitudinal beam (8), acting to keep the first longitudinal beam (8) in place in a final position.
