A bench including a first support, a second support, a seat, and one or more protective metal plates. The seat extends between the supports. The metal plates extend above the seat or below the seat, or both, and provide at least NIJ Level IIA, preferably Level IV, ballistic protection. The metal plates are attached to the bench, partially or completely, via one or more reversible toolless connections such as a slotted hole and headed stud. The bench can be assembled and disassembled in the field by unskilled labor with few or no tools required.

Present invention teaches a screwless chair where the unassembled product can come in a flat package, reducing the size of storage and adding to the ease of transportation. No screws are needed for the chair of present invention; no tools are needed for the assembly/disassembly when a user unfolds the seat back from the seat base, slides the hook pieces along the groove pieces and set the seat back down by setting the insertion pegs to the corresponding insertion holes. Errors in setting up the chair can be avoided. The ease of setting up, and thus the sturdiness and the safety of the chair, is not affected by repeated disassembly/re-assembly.

A modular furniture system having a small set of interchangeable base components which can be assembled using common tools and disassembled without damaging the components, allowing the consumer to disassemble and reassemble the components to form another piece of furniture. The modular furniture system has a plurality of structural members, each with multiple rows of openings which extend through the structural members. A first row of openings of the multiple rows of openings has equally spaced first openings having a first diameter. A second row of openings of the multiple rows of openings has equally spaced second openings having a second diameter which is different than the first diameter. Each interchangeable seat back can have a different unique design allowing for a quick change of appearance by exchanging one interchangeable seat back design for another. The interchangeable seat backs and the standard seat base frames can be stored separately and take up less space than completely assembled or fixed back chairs.

The invention provides a seat clip (1) for attaching a seat to a frame of a chair, comprising an upper portion (2) arranged to be attached to the seat (6), a lower portion (3) comprising a latching element (5) arranged to be reversibly attached to the frame (7) by positive locking, and an intermediate portion (4) connecting the upper portion (2) to the lower portion (3) and being flexible, such that the seat clip can be deformed when pressure is applied to the intermediate portion (4) and/or the lower portion (3) in order to attach the latching element (5) to the frame (7).

Various systems and methods relate to an adaptive chair system having (i) a stowed mode in which members of the chair frame are compactly contained within a multi-function bag (MFB), and (ii) a deployed mode in which the multi-purpose chair is configured to transition between at least two seating modes. In an illustrative example, the chair may be provided with an adaptive frame which may be reconfigured to transition between the seating modes. For example, the chair may transition between any of a vertical/upright (chair) mode (e.g., FIG. 8B), a vertical/upright (chair) mode using trek pole handle segment(s) (e.g., FIG. 1C), a low-profile/recon (seat) mode (e.g., FIG. 2B), and a longitudinal/lounge mode (e.g., FIG. 2B). Various embodiments may advantageously provide an adaptive chair system in an ultralight form factor which may fulfill multiple functions including, by way of example and not limitation, seating, sun/rain canopy, footrest, or some combination thereof.

A hanging collapsible chair set may include a rack and a collapsible chair, wherein the collapsible chair can be hung on the rack. The collapsible chair has a main body, a seating unit, a plurality of supporting frames and a plurality of connecting units. In one embodiment, each supporting frame is curved with two ends, and each end is pivotally connected with the main body of the collapsible chair. The seating unit is also pivotally connected with the main body. The connecting units are configured to flexibly connect the seating unit with one of the supporting frames, two of the supporting frames, and one of the supporting frames with the main body. In one embodiment, the connecting unit can be a string.
