STORAGE STABLE LIQUID FUGITIVE COLORED FIRE-RETARDANT CONCENTRATES
This disclosure relates to fugitive color systems and storage-stable fugitive colored liquid long-term fire retardant compositions comprising a fugitive color system. The fugitive color system comprises a fugitive color pigment. In particular, disclosed herein is the identification of fugitive color pigments exhibiting hydrophilic or diminished hydrophobic tendencies. And, in certain aspects, the fugitive color pigment is fluorescent.
Flame retardant composition, flame-retardant resin composition using same, molded article, and method for producing molded article
A flame retardant composition according to the present invention is a phosphate-based flame retardant including a (poly)phosphate, in which F and N satisfy 8.0×10.sup.−4≤F/N≤20.0 and F≤21.0, assuming that F (ppm) is a content of elemental iron and N (ppm) is a content of elemental sodium in the flame retardant composition as measured in accordance with the following procedure.

FIREPROOF CONSTRUCTION AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
A fireproof structure includes: a first heat-absorbing material that includes an inorganic porous formed body that has absorbed water, or a second heat-absorbing material that includes particles that include magnesium phosphate hydrate and a binder; and a fibrous heat-insulating material that includes inorganic fibers having a shrinkage ratio of 5% or less when allowed to stand at 1,100° C. for 24 hours.
FLAME RETARDANT COMPOSITION, FLAME RETARDANT FIBER AND FABRIC FORMED USING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
A flame retardant composition containing a phosphorous containing ammonium salt, a crosslinker, and water is provided, and its application to yarn or fabric to provide a flame retardant yarn or fabric. In a preferred embodiment, the yarn or fabric is made from a polyurethane elastomer, such as a spandex. A method to prepare the flame retardant composition and apply it to the fiber or yarn is also provided.

FIRE-STOPPING PRODUCT
The invention provides a fire-stopping product, an insulated building façade comprising a fire-stopping product, and a method of making a fire-stopping product. The fire-stopping product comprises a resilient, porous material at least partially impregnated with an intumescent agent and held in compression by a releasable restraint. When exposed to hot gases from a fire, the restraint yields to release the resilient, porous material in an initial expansion, thereby exposing the intumescent agent to the hot gases and allowing rapid intumescence to occur. When implemented in a ventilated building façade, the fire-stopping product is able to close an air gap in a short amount of time.
Process stabilization of polymer compositions comprising phosphorous containing flame retardants
Flame retardant polymer compositions comprising certain polymers, a flame retardant material obtained by heating certain phosphonic acid salts at temperatures over 200° C. and certain clays or metal compounds such as select metal borates, oxides, hydroxides, oxide hydroxides etc., are readily processed at elevated temperatures and under high stress conditions whereas similar compositions without the clays or metal compounds of the invention are prone to decomposition. For example, polyamide compositions comprising the flame retardant material obtained by heating certain phosphonic acid salts at temperatures over 200° C., hydrotalcite clays, and/or borates, oxides, hydroxides, oxide hydroxides of zinc or calcium, are highly stable to thermal processing under strenuous conditions such as high temperature extrusion.
