Seating and Support Furniture
A piece of seating and supporting furniture with or without an armrest, comprising an upright and a basic seat and supporting structure (seat and structure) arranged thereon such that it can be pivoted about at least one horizontal axis, wherein the seat and structure has a seat surface which, in a first end position of pivoting about the horizontal axis, is arranged substantially in a horizontal plane, wherein the seat surface, in a second pivoting end position, is arranged transversely to the horizontal plane, wherein the seat and structure has a supporting surface arranged on a side of the seat and structure spaced apart from the seat surface. In another embodiment, a first end of a spring is connected to the upright, a second end of the spring is connected to the seat and structure, and the spring assists pivoting of the seat and structure about the horizontal axis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RE-COVERING OFFICE CHAIRS
Disclosed is a one-piece removable slipcover with a seat hood at one end and a back hood at another end for attaching the slipcover to the back and seat of an office chair. A loose drape may be included to provide a more comprehensive covering for the back of the chair. A first tying system may be employed to help better secure the slipcover to an office chair and prevent it from shifting or bunching with use, and to create a more fitted appearance. A second tying system, utilizing a slot integrated or attached to the bottom end of a drape, may also be used for these purposes.
Casino chair with sliding base
A movable seat such as for use with a gaming device is disclosed and described herein. An example chair includes a chair head assembly and a floorplate assembly. The example chair head assembly is movably affixed to a slide plate in the floorplate assembly to slide the chair head assembly along at least a portion of the floorplate assembly. An example floorplate assembly includes a slide plate and a floorplate. The example slide plate is arranged to receive a support member, and the example slide plate is movably affixed to the floorplate via a track opening along the floorplate.
Dynamic pendula stool
Disclosed herein is a dynamic pendula stool possessing a foot, a leg secured to the foot, and a seat secured to the top end of the leg. The leg has a telescopic column that includes a lower part secured to a spherical foot with a diameter of 20-cm or less and an upper part with a free end having an articulation. The articulation has three degrees of freedom and is secured to the underside of the seat so that when a user rests against the seat, the leg forms an angle between 30 and 90 degrees with respect to the horizontal, thereby allowing an isometric contraction of the muscle groups of the lower limbs and of the abdominal girdle in the seated position. The stool is further provided with one or more sensors configured to send data signals to a remote electronic device.
BACKREST FOR AN OFFICE CHAIR
A backrest for an office chair. The backrest has a support structure on which a backrest shell element can be fastened. The support structure is formed with two braces that which are interconnected at upper and lower end regions and that are spaced from each other between the upper and lower end regions. At least sections of the braces are movable relative to one another.
Piece of seating furniture having a backward-tilt stop
A piece of seating furniture includes a backrest and a seat. The seat is operatively connected to the backrest. The backrest and the seat, during a pivoting of the backrest, open one another at an opening angle. A backward-tilt stop is included for limiting relative movement of the seat and the backrest. The backward-tilt stop is situated in extension of a vertical support of a pedestal.
A SEAT BACK SUPPORT
A seat back support with an adjustable support curvature, the support including: a frame; at least one elongate deformable member extending between side portions of the frame; and an elongate adjustment element that intersects one or more of the at least one deformable member(s), wherein manipulation of the adjustment element adjusts the deformation of the one or more deformable member(s) with which it intersects to adjust the curvature of the back support.
CHAIR
A chair includes a leg 1, a seat 5 including a pressure receiving surface PS, a backrest 6, and a support mechanism SM. The seat 5 can move in the front-rear or left-right direction along a predetermined trajectory and to downwardly incline a tip side of the seat 5 in a movement direction in accordance with a movement of the seat 5 from a predetermined reference position (S). The support mechanism SM includes a return-force generation unit configured to generate, in accordance with an amount of movement, a return force in a direction in which the seat 5 moved from the reference position (S) in the front-rear or left-right direction is returned to the reference position (S), and movably supports the backrest 6 in the left-right direction together with a movement of the seat 5 in the left-right direction.
Seat Plate Gas Cylinder Quick-Release Device
A quick-release device for securing a gas cylinder in a seat plate includes a pedestal defining a socket for receiving the gas cylinder. The pedestal projects upwardly from an endwall to form a jaw against which the gas cylinder is received when applied to the socket. A clamp is pivoted to the jaw for movement between an open position and a closed position. A flange is formed in the pedestal and has a lower surface for confrontation with the seat plate. A latch is coupled to the pedestal. The latch moves between a first position enabling movement of the clamp between the open and closed positions, and a second position disabling movement of the clamp between the open and closed positions.
Seating having an anti-rotation system
The invention relates to an active dynamic seating (1) comprising a foot part (2) and a pendulum joint (10) which is rotatably mounted relative to the foot part (2), a seat (3) which is rotatably mounted relative to the foot part (2), and a pendulum column (4) supporting the seat (3), said pendulum column (4) being connected for conjoint rotation with the pendulum joint (10). The pendulum column (4) is designed to be resilient in a height direction H and the pendulum column (4) is provided with anti-rotation means (51, 52, 53) which rotationally immobilize the pendulum column (4) relative to the seat (3) such that the pendulum column (4) and the seat (3) can be rotated relative to the foot part (2) only together with the rotatable pendulum joint (10).
