Chair assemblies (e.g., rocker style chairs, fixed position chairs, chairs with pivoting seats, tables and trays, a sub-combination thereof, or a combination thereof) are provided. More particularly, chair assemblies (e.g., rocker style chairs, fixed position chairs, chairs with pivoting seats, tables and trays, a sub-combination thereof, or a combination thereof), modular components for use within the chairs, parts for use within the modular components and related manufacturing and installation methods are provided.

A tension-compression base structure includes tension elements (such as flexible cables or ropes) and compression elements (such as rigid legs) with a slidably adjustable path for the tension elements around or within the compression elements, thereby enabling a degree of adaptability to support surfaces that may not be ideally flat, such as on outdoor terrain. Such a tension-compression base may be used to support a platform that may be desirably held in a preferred orientation irrespective of terrain irregularities. Height adjustment of the platform can be achieved via a telescoping mechanism, a gas spring, or the like, at the one or both ends of the compression members of the structure. A spring or other compliant member inline with the loop tension member can be included. The spring also can remove the requirement for fine adjustments of tension elements during normal service. The spring can benefit various tension-compression base structures.

This invention is a seat for use on mud or similar soft surfaces having a spherical base that contacts the soft surface. The spherical base preferably includes a fillable void space configured to be filled with water, mud, or other matter for added weight in the spherical base to maintain the seat in a vertical position.

A collapsible stool entertainment system. The collapsible stool entertainment system includes an elongated rod having a first end opposite a second end. A seat portion is affixed to the first end and a base portion is affixed to the second end. A plurality of teeth extends from a lower surface of the base portion to engage a ground surface for additional stability. In some embodiments, the second end of the elongated rod is pivotally secured to an upper surface of the base portion via a ball-and-socket joint system, wherein the second end comprises a ball removably securable within a socket disposed on the base portion.

A tension-compression base structure including tension elements (such as flexible cables or ropes) and compression elements (such as rigid legs) is provided with a slidably adjustable path for the tension elements around or within the compression elements, thereby enabling a degree of adaptability to support surfaces that may not be ideally flat, such as on outdoor terrain. Such a tension-compression base may be used to support a platform, a stool, or an item of equipment that may be desirably held in a preferred orientation irrespective of terrain irregularities, and as furniture may be configured to rock with a user's body as a form of active seating.

A portable, folding chair. Two front leg supports are pivotally connected to a seat frame and extend downward from the seat frame. Two rear leg supports are also pivotally connected to the seat frame. A majority of the length of each rear leg support is positioned above the seat frame. Two individually adjustable front legs extend downward from the front leg supports and two individually adjustable rear legs extend downward from the rear leg support. A front foldable leg brace is connected between the two front leg supports and a rear foldable leg brace is connected between the two rear leg supports. In preferred embodiments, the chair may be utilized in a variety of seating arrangements, such as: bleacher seating, concrete stadium seating, slope seating, flat surface seating and uneven surface seating.

The furniture leg attachment is an apparatus that is used to stabilize an uneven chair, table, or other piece of furniture. The apparatus is also configured to prevent sliding on rough or uneven surfaces, such as may be encountered during outdoor furniture use. The apparatus comprises a leg-receiving tube, a foot, a ball-and-socket joint, an incremental height-adjustment mechanism, and a plurality of ground-gripping protrusions. The leg-receiving tube connects to the foot by the ball-and-socket joint, which allows the foot to rotate and adjust relative to the surface that the table or chair is positioned upon. The incremental height-adjustment mechanism is part of the leg-receiving tube that allows the user to modify the height of the foot and the table or chair leg above the ground. The plurality of ground-gripping protrusions extends from the foot to grasp the surface that the present invention is upon.

A rotatable bracket assembly for use with self-leveling devices that includes a first bracket portion having an upper region with an outer surface and a substantially flat inner surface, wherein a cylindrical carriage bolt receiving structure is formed on one end of the inner surface; and a lower region having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein a stem and flange receiving region is formed on the inner surface; and a second bracket portion that is adapted to be connected to the first bracket portion, wherein the second bracket portion further includes an upper region having an outer surface and a substantially flat inner surface, wherein a cylindrical carriage bolt receiving structure is formed on one end of the inner surface; and a lower region having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein a stem and flange receiving region is formed on the inner surface.

A chair including a swivel assembly. The chair can include three or more arms pivotally connected to the swivel assembly and selectively moveable between an open position and closed position. The chair can also an arm lock disposed on top of the swivel assembly, where the arm lock is selectively moveable between a locked position and unlocked position. The chair can also include a seat removably connected to a distal end of each arm.
