POLARIZING PLATE AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A polarizing plate and a display device including the same. The polarizing plate includes a retardation layer exhibiting ultraviolet blocking characteristics even in a state where the retardation layer does not include any ultraviolet absorber or light stabilizer. The polarizing plate can be used alone or in combination with an appropriate sunscreen or a light stabilizer as needed to selectively block ultraviolet rays in a region requiring blocking, without affecting display performance, such as color senses and image quality, of a display device. The polarizing plate can also be formed with a small thickness without requiring a separate ultraviolet blocking layer, and also has excellent durability, because the polarizing plate exhibits a certain ultraviolet blocking property even in the absence of an ultraviolet absorber or light stabilizer.

The present invention provides: a laminate which has a polarizer and an optically anisotropic layer and has excellent thermal durability; and an organic electroluminescent device and a liquid crystal display device, which include the laminate. The laminate according to the embodiment of the present invention is a laminate having two substrates, and a polarizing plate disposed between the two substrates, in which the polarizing plate has an optically anisotropic layer and a polarizer, the optically anisotropic layer is formed of a composition containing a polymerizable liquid crystal compound represented by Formula (I), the polarizer contains a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, and a moisture permeability of the substrate is 10.sup.−3 g/m.sup.2.Math.day or less.

The present disclosure provides a liquid crystal material, a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel, and a display panel. The display panel includes a thin film transistor substrate, a color film substrate, a polymer layer structure, and a liquid crystal layer. During the preparation, after three different irradiations, the liquid crystal material is directly polymerized into the first polymer layer structure and the second polymer layer structure under the irradiations, eliminating the black matrix structure and the polyimide alignment film structure, improving the display effect of the panel, and reducing preparation costs.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND POLARIZER PROTECTIVE FILM
The present invention aims to provide a liquid crystal display device highly suppressing occurrence of rainbow interference pattern in displayed images. The present invention is a liquid crystal display device including: a back light source, a liquid crystal cell, a color filter, a polarizer, and a polarizer protective film arranged in the stated order, wherein the polarizer protective film has a retardation of not less than 6000 nm, and a difference (nx−ny) of not less than 0.05 between a refractive index (nx) in a slow axis direction that is a highest refractive index direction and a refractive index (ny) in a fast axis direction that is orthogonal to the slow axis direction, and an absorption axis of the polarizer and the slow axis of the polarizer protective film are arranged to form an angle within a range of 0°±30° or 90°±30°.
POLARIZER AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided are a polarizer having a high degree of alignment and an image display device including the polarizer. The polarizer of the present invention is a polarizer which is formed of a polarizer-forming composition containing a liquid crystal compound and a dichroic material, in which the liquid crystal compound and the dichroic material are horizontally aligned, and in an X-ray diffraction spectrum of the polarizer, at least one of a plurality of peaks observed in a diffraction angle range of 17° or less is a peak A in which an interval of a periodic structure corresponding to the at least one peak does not have an integer multiple relationship with an interval of a periodic structure corresponding to at least one of other peaks.
LAMINATE FILM

The present specification relates to a polarizer protective film including a photocurable resin including a multifunctional acrylate-based monomer and an acrylate-based oligomer having an elongation of 5% to 200%; and a dye or a pigment having a maximum absorption wavelength of 580 nm to 610 nm, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device including the same.
ANTIREFLECTION PLATE
An antireflection plate has a structure in which a hard coat layer, an antireflective layer having a low refractive index layer, a protective layer, and an overcoat layer are laminated in this order on a transparent resin substrate. The low refractive index layer is a cured body of a curable composition containing 50 to 200 parts by mass of (B-2) hollow silica fine particles, and the low refractive index layer has a refractive index of 1.20 to 1.45. The protective layer is a cured body of a curable composition containing 7.5 to 35 parts by mass of (B-3) spherical silica fine particles, and the protective layer has a thickness of 10 to 15 nm and a refractive index of 1.45 to 1.50. The overcoat layer includes a polymer of a fluorine-containing silicon compound.
